They are all working together for a common cause. Congress will do nothing. The government is actually one entity. Both parties are owned by the same group of individuals that control just about every bank, every energy company. Look at the bigger picture. If there was nothing going on here, if everything was as it should be, there would be no talk. There would be no uncertainty. There would be no confusion. Congress challenged George Bush over the war not so long ago, refused to give the man funds and wanted the troops pulling out by a certain deadline. George vetoed and no more was heard. Why? You have to really look at the game that is being played right in front of your eyes. It is nothing more than a magicians trick. George Bush is merely an employee of this group of extremely powerful individuals. They decide who runs the country. Your vote counts for nothing. The majority of politicians have vested interests in going along with the plans of the elite. Those that don't soon will. The elite have the politicians in their pockets. All is exactly as it seems you all you have to do is see it. Save a revolution tomorrow it is too late to do anything about it. So it is too late. The elite didn't get where they are by being stupid people. They know EXACTLY what they are doing.

$50 Billion is approx. .02% of the current $2.8 Trillion federal budget.
The federal budget is bloated with billions upon billions of wasteful spending that the federal government has no business doing.
One of the few things the federal government should be spending money on is national defense, the military, fighting wars and conducting foreign policy.
I would much rather this money be spent to help secure our nation then have it spent on welfare programs, ethanol subsidies, Amtrak, light rail systems, global warming grants or numerous other wasteful spending.
What would you have us the United States do at this point? What do you think any other President would be doing?
You must realize what the primary responsibilities of the President and Congress are. Congress has done absolutely nothing of substance in recent times and has a much lower favorable rating then the President.
The President and Congress have important jobs and right now only one of them is doing anything of substance, that would be the President.
I don't agree with everything the President does but I haven't agreed with anything Congress has done recently.
One last note, ask yourself this question.
If terrorists and other enemies of the United States could vote in the next election who do you think they would vote for? After you answer that question, let the answer soak in and ponder what that means and why they would want to vote that way.
God Bless America.

The problem is two-fold--the Republicans in Congress are still afraid of the right-wing-youknow--the people who admire people like Senator Craig and Mark Foley anddon't care if our soldiers die for nothing, as long as Muslims are being killed.
The other problem is that Democrats know that ifthey simply cut off funds, Bush will simply leaveour soldiers in horm's way without support and let even more of them die just to score political points. And the Democrats really do support our troops--so they won't let themm be victims any more than they already are.
So--until the Republicans have the guts to stand up to the right-wing and act like Americans, Bush can continue to hold our troops hostage to force compliance from Congress.

Yes, Bush does what he wants with impunity -- that's the mastermind of his political team that created a situation where he could ignore all federal laws at will and get away with it.
It remains to be seen, now that Rove and Gonzales are gone, if that still applies.
As for Congress, they have shown themselves to be spineless at worst, careless at best. No hope for them.

Georgie may find himself high and dry this time. With all the GOPers skipping out on him and the election season nearing many may not want to buck the will of the people this time and vote against the money.

I am scared of him. He has gone so mad with trying to catch every terrorist in the middle east that he does not even realize that he is just making this worse. I REALLY hope Congress will DO something about this!

those are 2 diverse questions, yet enable me attempt to respond to them jointly. As President, Bush is likewise Commander-in-chief. He has the criminal authority to respond to assaults without the consent of Congress. it particularly is designed this variety by using nature of war. judgements could be made right now in time of war, and there is not time to hunt for suggestion from 535 individuals of Congress. under the war Powers Act, besides the shown fact that, he's meant to hunt for Congressional approval till now attacking yet another united states. "parts of the war Powers selection require the President to hunt for suggestion from with Congress ahead of the initiating of any hostilities besides as generally till U.S. military are actually not any further engaged in hostilities (Sec. 3); and to eliminate U.S. military from hostilities if Congress has not declared war or exceeded a call authorizing using tension interior 60 days (Sec.. 5(b)). Following an respected request by utilising the President to Congress, the time decrease could be prolonged by utilising an added 30 days (probably whilst "unavoidable protection tension necessity" calls for added action for a secure withdrawal)." So, in concept, Bush would desire to attack Iran in the event that they attacked us. would desire to he galvanize Iran into attacking? in step with possibility. could Congress be waiting to end him from attacking Iran? returned, not in the event that they attack us first. (and what constitutes an attack? in the event that they take place to take a number of our sailors who take place to be patrolling close to/of their waters, could that count selection?)
