WEB EXTRA: Imam Masood, former leader of Sharon mosque, indicted on immigration charges

By Lane Lambert
Patriot Ledger

BOSTON - Imam Muhammad Masood of Sharon was indicted and arraigned in federal court this morning on 9 counts of lying on green card applications, and claiming that he illegally re-entered the U.S. in 1993 when he never left the country.

The former spiritual leader of the Islamic Center of New England’s Sharon mosque pleaded not guilty.

The criminal charges carry maximum sentences of 5 to 10 years in prison and fines of $250,000.

The 49-year-old Pakistan native was arrested and released on bail on the criminal charges on July 23. Last November he was detained for visa violations in a multi-state immigration sweep.

I was discharged from the Navy about 6 years ago. Unfortunately I received a general discharge (under honorable conditions) with an RE-4 reentry code. The narrative reason for separation was misconduct with an HKQ code. After 6 yrs now, I have graduated from college and I am interested in going back to the service. I wanted to join the army national guard and go to officer candidate school. And so, I was wondering if I can do this even though I wasn't honorably discharged from the Navy. I live in San Antonio, TX and any answers from recruiters or any other person with knowledge about this will be greatly appreciated.

The Iraq War, sometimes called the Second or Third Gulf War or in the U.S., Operation Iraqi Freedom, is an ongoing conflict which began with the United States-led 20 March 2003 invasion of Iraq.
The main rationale for the Iraq War offered by U.S. President George W. Bush, British Prime Minister Tony Blair, and their domestic and foreign supporters was that Iraq was developing weapons of mass destruction. These weapons, it was argued, posed a threat to the United States, its allies and interests. In the 2003 State of the Union Address, Bush claimed that the U.S. could not wait until the threat from Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein became imminent. After the invasion, however, no evidence was found of such weapons. To support the war, some U.S. officials cited claims of a connection between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaeda. No substantial evidence of any such connection has been found.

"Judging by their positions at the time, rather than their post hoc allegations, Democrats adored the Soviet Union. Congressional Democrats repeatedly opposed funding anti-Communist rebels, they opposed Reagan's military build-up, they opposed building a shield to protect America from incoming missiles, they opposed putting missiles in Europe. As a rule, Democrats opposed anything opposed by their cherished Soviet Union.

Whether they are defending the Soviets or bleating for Saddam Hussein, liberals are always against America. They are either traitors or idiots, and on the matter of America's self-preservation, the difference is irrelevant".

That means that your taxes would not go up. Would you support it? if not, why? Feel free to compare the realities of 'for profit' insurance companies to the realities of socialized healthcare in the rest of the world. No need for made up 'what if' scenarios...there is enough precedence in history to support any valid arguments

In the post "what do you really think of islam and muslims??!?"

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Au0RHRlsUru5nQ7Q3wtHeC0jzKIX?qid=20070807121759AApbxCD

My response was marked as a violation. Yahoo decided not to respond to my question as to why my response was a violation when It violated none of the rules and policies Yahoo has posted;

Her question is READS in part;

“ i would be really greatful if you tell me what do you really think of islam and muslims?”

“ i want to know how do you feel about us and why??!.”

“we just want to be free and have our lands back believe me we never mean to hurt you but you are the ones who took our homes”

My response to this was simply to read a website” website you should visit. www.TheReligionofPeace.com” as it will provide much of the information she is requesting and echoes my own views. WHICH SHE ASKED FOR

My post is not in violation of ANY rules

I understand that unlike the U.S. (to its peril), a number of countries explicitly excluded gambling from their GATS Schedule of Commitments. Did any of the following WTO Members now claiming compensation from the U.S. in the cross-border Internet gambling dispute with Antigua do so: Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, India, Macao, Japan and the European Communities (EC)? What about China and New Zealand?

Please, no links to complex WTO schedules or docs. Just quick a quick yes or no for each country.

Please do not tell me 'everyone knows', or it's on the govt website (it's not). Just give me the exact statute in Subtitle A 'income tax' which states 'who's liable'.

Not subtitle 'C' employment tax. Tom Cryer couldn't find where he was liable, so he stopped filing and recently found not guilty. Vernice Kuglan(?) a fed ex pliot was also found 'not guilty' for 'tax evasion' - she couldn't find the statute either.

So will anyone, show me the exact statute of who's LIABLE for subtitle A 'Income Tax'?

BIRDS OF A FEATHER!

"We are socialists, we are enemies of today's capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions." --Adolf Hitler

(Speech of May 1, 1927. Quoted by Toland, 1976, p. 306)

"We just can't trust the American people to make those types of choices.... Government has to make those choices for people"
(From the book "I've Always Been A Yankee Fan" by Thomas D. Kuiper, p 20 - Hillary to Rep. Dennis Hastert in 1993)
