Her temper is legend. A razor sharp tongue freely spewing the "F" word. I've seen it in action. Will she continue to embarass herself with this lowlife form of expressing herself?

In another question, someone said that "in Ohio a man can't volunteer to give up his rights unless there is another man there willing to take on the responsibility".

Doesn't this sound like the government believes every child should have two parents regardless of what people think?

Is this correct? Or do you believe the govt is poking their nose where they don't belong?

There is no doubt that absent union leaders and their strong arm tactics the salaries and benefits of workers would not be so unrealistically high. The dying US auto industry is a prime example of the cost of this gluttony. They simply cannot keep up competitively because of horrendous costs brought on you unions.

It seems to me that Democrats would do much better if they tried to appeal to the moderates. So many moderates voted for Bush in 2004 because both Democratic candidates were painted as too liberal by the media. Joe Lieberman and Zell Miller have been kicked out of the party because they took a moderate stand on certain issues. The 3 front runners are all from the far left of the party. When I hear Hillary/Obama, I cringe. I feel Hillary could name a moderate and succeed much better than if she chose Obama. I think Democrats should wake up and realize that political moderates make up a large portion of the electorate and we feel we are being neglected. The only man that I see that Iike right now is Rudy Giuliani and he is a Republican and a moderate.

Mainly the defense of insanity. Do you think it is abused or do you think it isn't used enough to help the mentaly ill? What do you think about victims right groups saying justice is not served if an insane criminal is put into an institution instead of prison?

A liberal who is willing to admit that many of the problems within our educational system stems from the Teachers Unions. I’m shocked.

1. Education. At present most inner-city public schools have drop-out rates of over 50%. And for those that don't drop out they are not prepared to succeed in college. But the problem does not end there. In highly educated rich Boulder Colorado for example, only 50% of the 10th graders are proficient in math.
We no longer have an economy with plenty of jobs for those with just a high school education and additional jobs for those that did not complete high school. Not just the good jobs, but most jobs period are there for those with a college degree.
We cannot address the problems we face today and will face tomorrow without fixing our school system. And we cannot compete with India and China if we don't improve our education system.
And we, as liberals, must face the fact that we will have to fight the teacher unions to fix the system. The teacher unions are not the only problem. But they are a large barrier to fixing this and they in many places have a stranglehold on those from the left that need to fix the system.
My question is:

Do you believe that any of the Democratic forerunners are willing to meet this problem head-on, or will they shy away because the Teachers Unions are the largest, strongest, and carry more clout than any of the other unions?

I was rear-ended the other night and my car was totaled and the driver who hit me lost their life. It's very terrible & I am tore up about it but I have realized it's not my fault (police reports say the driver was speeding and it's their fault) I told my insurance company about it & if I file w/them I have to pay a $1000 deductable & they will only cover half the rental car. So...I am going to file with the other insurance company but will I be able to get a rental car until this thing is settled? I know insurance companies will give you a rental car until yours is repaired but since it's totaled will they give me a rental? The car that was totaled was my only vehicle. I also went to ER and I am ok but just got whiplash. What do I do? Also, the police report is not ready yet so I can't ask their insurance company this question just yet, just wondering from anyone else so that I can have peace of mind for the next few days. Thanks

I read an article in the Sunday Times recently that said that America's infrastructure is crumbling and that it will cost just under $1 trillion to carry out basic essential repairs. Just look at what's happening - bridges collapsing, high pressure steam mains exploding in New York, Levvys bursting in New Orleans. Each of these incidents has caused loss of life.
Whilst America is projecting it's power abroad the cities back home appear to be falling to bits. I'm an Englishman and I have enjoyed a number of holidays in the USA but I am concerned that America has it's priorities in the wrong order.

Bill Clinton had 8 years to rebuild the infrastructure of this country. I guess he was too busy working in the oval office to do anything about the crumbling infrastructure.

Many so called experts such as Exxon Mobil and Al Gore think Global Warming is fact.
Its funny how they argue that 'cyclical global warming' and 'man-made global warming' can be proven by science but even scientists ,that spoke to a non partisan panel ,agree they do not have enough evidence to conclude either theory correct.

Its strange also how Exxon Mobil who used to say there was no global warming happening, which I believe wholeheartedly, now it believes it does exist as a cyclical warming.

I guess they have numbers that suggest it comes around every 500 years or so.

Thats ridiculous

They have no proof whatsoever that cyclical or man made global warming is factual.

Exxon Mobil is lying.

You provide the arms & money to put the Taliban in power in Afghanistan. Then you expect us to help sort out the mess you caused in the first place. Just a little out of order don't you think?

Also my fiance has bad credit, would marrying her make creditors come after me. I want to make sure I would keep my place since it would be in my name only. Also, what would my obligations be if I were to get divorced financially? Thank you for any help

My mom works for her dad (my grandpa) and when she went over to their house I found a joke that I faxed to them a couple of days ago. And underneath the joke was a letter from my grandmas' cousin saying that she is related to Jimmy Carter. And even though I'm not as much related to him as my grandma, I would still like to meet him. Does anyone know how I could?

I am gonna rent a room off-campus with some other people. When I payed my deposit, the landlord gave me the receipt which was written in German (they've lived in German for couple or years...). This really didn't make sense to me. Then their explaination for me was that could make sure the receipt was given by her daughter ( her daughter lives in this house too, and we all pay our rents to her)...This really didn't make sense to me!!! I can't read German, even though the things her daughter will write on that (such as "deposit" or "water bill" things like that) is English, but I rent a room in the US, why should I get a receipt in German???!!!

Is this legal??? Should I accept this kind of receipt or should I argue with them? I wanna keep our relationship though, but I feel bad when I am treated like that...

Any helps??? Thanks!
