1: That's a popular myth. The President doesn't actually sit by the window, that's a geniously designed optical illusion.

2: It doesn't matter. Anything within a half mile of the white house can be shot before it has time to pull the trigger.

That glass is probably bullet proof. And it is probably impossible to get close enough to that window to have a shot. Even from many many yards away. The white house is so protected that if someone pointed a stick toward the building from across the street they would probably have about 2 seconds before they were shot.
