I work in a large all metal warehouse that is open to the public. We do not have air conditioning. We do, as employees, have access to the air-conditioned offices and free water in the office. However, in the warehouse, we only have 3 fans on the floor and 3 behind the registers. There are large industrial-type exhaust fans that we've been told significantly lower the temperature, but we are not permitted to turn them on. It supposed to be 97 degrees this week, and inside its usually AT LEAST 10 degrees warmer. Our customers nearly melt in the heat...

Is there anything we can do? I've looked at OSHA, but it just doesn't make any sense to me. Can anyone help?

They may not have it as good there financially but they could stay home (in Mexico) without having to be on the run from imigration authorities on top of everything else they are facing.
Life is hard no matter what side of the boarder they are on. Its not America's fault if they can't get their government to do as we have. Gee...do I smell a human rights violation somewhere South of here? Maybe the U.S. can do something! ...If it were important enough? You just never know about things ...like this?

Politicians of both parties debate whether to reduce taxes or improve services. In the meantime, though, taxes remain high and services (like maintaining bridges) are neglected. The nation is trillions of dollars in debt.

If a corporation took investors' money and couldn't account for it or lost it, someone would go to jail. Should more of our elected officials be treated the same way?

when someone is sentenced to 100-250 years in jail, what happends to them if they die.
Like that soldier that raped the family in iraq he got 110 years in jail he's not gonna live that hole 110 years so what happens after he dies.
do they just let him get buried or what.

I work in a sawmill for the past 5 years. When it was time for me to renew my First Aid Ticket they paid for the course but refused to pay for my time.I am primary first Aid. When another 2 years rolled around, I refused to take the course, after a few months they finally said they would pay me for my time. The culture at work is definitely not good, nepotism etc.etc. Now it's time to renew my ticket again and I asked the mill manager if they would do the right thing and pay me. Of course not. So, I called Labour Board and the person answering the phone cheerfully said too much time has past. Is there a higher place I can go to?

I have a domestic violence felony that's on my record from 4 or 5 years ago and want to know if i can get my CA real estate license? I finished all of my "anger management" classes which was very interesting and i'm done with my probation. I don't have anything else on my record. I've heard it's a 50/50 chance just be honest with them. I'm set to take my real estate exam this month and wanted to know. It was an unfortunate situatuion tha happened in my past and I've learned from it. I do know now that if a women is pushing your buttons by keying your car, breaking your car windows, and being over agressive towards you, it's not ok to slap a women. Please let me know about the license thanks.

Senator Dodd referenced Bill O'Reilly's statement from 2005 to the effective of it being OK with O'Reilly if Al Qaeda wanted to attack San Francisco. O'Reilly denied it and accused Senator Dodd of reading his transcripts on Media Matters. Warning, the transcript that follows includes some profanity on O'Reilly's part. Here's how it went down:

DODD: Talking about Al Qaeda attacking San Francisco, blowing up San Francisco. That’s not offensive?

O'REILLY: When did I say that, senator?

DODD: You said it in 2005, I think is correct.

O'REILLY: What forum? When?

DODD: Right here I believe on your show.

O'REILLY: You are wrong. I didn't say it here. You don't know what the hell I said with all due respect. You got it from Media Matters. You didn't hear it and you don't know.

Since Mr. O'Reilly specifically mentions Media Matters, I think it's worth while to see what the Fox News transcripts Media Matters says Bill O'Reilly said on November 8, 2005 on The Radio Factor with Bill O'Reilly:

O'REILLY: Hey, you know, if you want to ban military recruiting, fine, but I'm not going to give you another nickel of federal money. You know, if I'm the president of the United States, I walk right into Union Square, I set up my little presidential podium, and I say, "Listen, citizens of San Francisco, if you vote against military recruiting, you're not going to get another nickel in federal funds. Fine. You want to be your own country? Go right ahead."

And if Al Qaeda comes in here and blows you up, we're not going to do anything about it. We're going to say, look, every other place in America is off limits to you, except San Francisco. You want to blow up the Coit Tower? Go ahead.

Why is it so many people are concerned about Arnold running? He can't be president right? To be president, besides being 35 years old, you have to be born in the US and lived here for 14 years or more. So there's no way he can be president right? God, what kind of people would elect him? Body building, acting, then president! Ugh. Please say that this can't happen
