Who's gonna find them? It's not like they're really hiding from immigration and looking over their shoulder everywhere they go. They're out in plain sight. I know illegals that have been here for 15-20 years. And most of them will never be deported and they know that. That's why they come here.

There ARE human rights issues there. From what I understand several U.N.groups have called for some action to be taken. Most of these conditions for their immigrating have been caused by trade agreements gone awry.Such as NAFTA.If you ask an illegal why they came you won't hear them mention NAFTA just they don't have jobs. Many of them along with many Americans don't know about NAFTA or it's impact in both countries. It's a sorry state of affairs that has greatly impacted our economy and middle class while virtually destroying theirs.I think if we dealt with NAFTA most of our illegal problem would disappear. They could then stay home and enjoy life as all people should be allowed by humanity.

Well, the rest of their family is here and they want to reproduce and prosper as much as possible. There are lots of jobs to be had, and for low wages if necessary. Mexicans have "anchor babies" here so then when they hit 18, they can sponsor their parents to be citizens too. It's a total scam. Immigration authorities are barely a drop in the bucket against the millions here already. Illegals can be the most coniving, manipulative people, or the nicest and hardest working; you never know what you're going to get.

The odds of an illegal immigrant being found out and deported are small; there are estimated to be about twelve million here now. With US unemployment at historic lows, the odds that immigrants can find useful employment are quite good -- and at much better wages than prevail in Mexico.

how about that they come here knowing they will live longer and survive instead of starving to death in their home countries and that some of those girls and women don't have to prostitute themselves just to eat. And when they get here they know they have a chance they won't be caught. They don't come here to know they will be deported. Many lived here for decades and never worried about being caught.

Because if they came in legally then they have to do as Americans do-like go to war,pay taxes, and donate to the poor instead of buying a car and sleeping on the floor.

Before we criticize our Mexican neighbors, we should remember history (Zimmerman Telegram). In 1917 Germany promised Mexico they would help them regain their land if they would support Germany in their endeavor to use submarine warfare on the United States.
Mexico refused.

They also tried to make a deal with Pancho Villa and give him weapons and men to defeat Orgadon at the Mexican revolution in return for safe use on the Mexican Harbors. He denied their proposal

Why would a Mexican family come here? Simple: hope. There is hope for tomorrow here. There is none in poverty stricken Mexico.
