To give credit to a liberal Don Henley "its all give me what you got". weather its the govt taxing , fining and feeing you to death , business big and small trying to charge you more and pay you less, and the thug trying to mug you. its all the same.

Just debating like we are here?

Under the guise of National Security and policing our conversations are many citizens unknowingly opening themselves up to being arrested and or detained by someone who was listening to these conversations?

Even if was merely an innocent conversation about opinion?

What recourse would those people have in proving their innocence considering the fact that the government doesn't have to charge you or give you access to an attorney?

People could be held for years under these circustances!

That doesn't make you angry and appalled?

Who's to say that isn't already happening?

Giving the government these powers is dangerous! And it is in direct conflict with the Constitution!

I see three options in the war on drugs. 1) we cut off the supply, and to some extent that is being attempted 2) we arrest users and throw them in jail with little or no rehabilitation and mess up their already messed up life, and this is being done 3) we turn our heads and let the addicts self destruct, thus saving tax dollars to go after the real bad guys and free up the space and cost, and to some extent this is also being done. What are your thoughts?

Why are testers for cleaning supplies and hair dyes, etc. allowed to pour acid in animals' eyes - they don't even use anesthesia to prevent extreme cruelty or pain killers to lessen their suffering. These cats and dogs are forced to eat these products to see how long it takes to pass through their bodies before killing them while it burns away their intestinal tracts and causes violent vomiting and bleeding.

I know two people that receive food stamps because they are US citizens, now I know that everyone does it, but they have children and are claiming themselves as single mothers when they're not. Now, they do not work, not because they can't but because they dont want to. One of them lives in mexico and just comes when she gets her food stamps oh and a check for her daughter. I really don't think this is fair because there are other people that really need that help, and I dont think its fair that I'm busting my a$$ to work and paying taxes and they're just living off of them because they are US citizens.. What can I do to report them??? What do I need?

I am a veteran, I am in two cancer research programs in the V.A. system, so as to find ways to help the future victims.( Some men grow cotton, some corn, some cattle, me? I grow tumors!) Does anyone know the average cost, per visit/ per condition/ per treatment/per Vet, and what are the costs for the same situations in the public sector ?? I am requesting responces from ACTUAL MILITARY SERVICE, CURRENT and VETERANS and YOU, THE Y/A FOLKS : HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE CARE PROVIDED, at the local Clinics and the V.A. Hospitals?? Comparing the V.A. system to the care in the private sectors??

I recieved a fix it ticket for my tinted windows, this was factory installed, and I explained that to the officer, however he still wrote me up for it. That day I was in Venice Beach, and there were dozens of police writing people up for many infractions. I had just recently bought the car(BMW 3 series) and it is under factory warranty, when I bought it from the BMW dealer they said that the tint was completely legal, and they wouldnt sell anything that was illegal. Is this something that I should just get removed pay my 10 dollar fine, or can I actually fight it if its factory installed, and keep the tinted windows? Thanks for the input.

If you do, you live in a glass house, and certainly shouldn't throw rocks at people who don't believe in sleeping with a loaded revolver under their pillows.

Everyone seems ready to judge our troops. Here's your chance to Convict, Acquit, or order more Investigations in a very real case that did occur.
I give you all the details that I know. You take that into account and register your judgement.

While you're there, go to the previous article "The Fog of War" on a typical but hypothetical mission and make the split second decision of life or death that will save your teammates lives.

If you can't face the reality in print, you certainly shouldn't go there and most definitely have no basis to judge.

Read on and you'll learn about our enemy, our troops and what is REALLY going on.

No politics. Just the groundtruth from a combat veteran that has been to both Fronts in the War on Terror, backed up by independent research and a study of history.

My Fellow Americans. When a long train of abuses and usurpations pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government , and to provide new gaurd for their future security. I say this, due in part to the despots in the government we have today. We the people must take our country back by force. If you wish to sit on the sidelines and let this country be destroyed. Be my guest. Let it be known if you are unhappy no matter what your political affliation is...TO ARMS!!!! TO ARMS!!!!!!!!! It is our duty to do this ladies and gentlemen. Read the Declaration of Independence to find the bottom line. I assure you that our resolve out of this will never be stronger. I also assure you that we the people will have a stronger country and sound policy. Because it will be we the people that do in part overthrow the current regime. Give me liberty! Or give me death!
Thanks, Mike

I am not a Citizen of the UK. I am a US Citizen and flying to the UK to see some friends. I am not sure how long I will be there for. I know you can be there for up to 6 months without a Visa. But what my concern is when I fly over there, will I be allowed to gain entry into the UK without a round trip ticket? I heard that some countries, I am not sure, want to know that if you fly there, you need to show proof you plan on leaving.

Two reasons I am doing that this way.

1) I do not know when I will return to the US.
2) I do not have enough money to purchase a round trip.

Now, I know I can purchase a roundtrip and chang ethe date for a fee. But like I said, I will not have the money right now to purchase a roundtrip. I will not be working in the UK but I will have some money freed up next month which will allow me to purchase a one-way ticket back. Also, I do have enough money to be self sufficient if I budget. I do have constant income whether I am in the US or not.
