RUKidding me?! How did you figure this one out? One quarter (1/4) of Americans are of Irish ancestry! Ever hear of the million or more Irish who came here because of the Potato Famine? How about the few million who entered this country through Ellis Island between say 1890 and 1925? You think the Mexicans hopped on a boat went around the tip of South America and landed, en mass, at Ellis Island in New York?

I, for one, am Scots-Irish and more Scot than I am Irish. My Puerto Rican husband is of Spanish heritage. So, you think most Americans are of Spanish heritage, since most Mexicans are of Spanish heritage?

Maybe you should really check your "facts" a bit, like watching the History Channel every now and again, before you say things like this. (And I don't have any problem with Mexicans.)

I can assure you the majority of people I know are not of Mexican descent. In fact I know more of Cuban descent than Mexican. But here in the Midwest and east coast where my family lives there are few in their grouping of friends. I think if you look at US census figures you will see you are way off on your estimates.
From what I remember there are at least over 60% of the population who are not Hispanic and Hispanic includes more than Mexicans so whatever the number of Hispanics there are South Americans, Cubans, etc in this group besides mexicans.

No, you if you believe in evolution we started out black, and have expanded and change threw the centuries. To me I'm American, my family tree from my one side came over with the may flower(I'm English and Native American) and my other side I'm German. We are some many generations evolved now it doesn't really matter who your great-great-great-great-great grandfather was, your splits so many times.
