If you do, you live in a glass house, and certainly shouldn't throw rocks at people who don't believe in sleeping with a loaded revolver under their pillows.

Ouch, that doesn't sound comfortable at all. A revolver, loaded or not would not feel good under my pillow.

I'll take a good alarm system over a loaded gun anyday of the week. I sleep like the dead and without a nice loud braying alarm by the time I know their's someone in my house I probably would be just that...dead. A gun isn't going to do me much good then, is it? Don't get me wrong. People who really think they can brush of the affects of sleep in a heartbeat really should sleep with a loaded gun nearby if that's what they want.

If you slept with a loaded revolver under your pillow I wouldn't throw rocks at you, whether I lived in a glass house or a brick one.

No I wouldn't. In your sleep you don't know what you're doing. You could accidently put your hand under the pillow and set the gun off. If there is an intruder in your home whose to say that you will have time to retrieve a gun if he or she is already in your home standing over you.

So, are you for or against sleeping with loaded revolvers under your pillow? It really doesn't make any sense.

If someone were sleeping with a gun under their pillow, what makes you assume they are throwing rocks at people who don't?

Haven't a clue as to what your point is if any.

Perhaps you think you made a clever statement, but you are just making the rest of us veterans sound silly.

I believe in the 2nd. amendment as it was intended, i.e. no restrictions on citizens keeping or carrying arms. Period.

Particularly with the state of the civilian law enforcement agencies in some areas.

One false move and your are brainless. Oops maybe you are already brainless for putting a loaded gun under your pillow in the first place.

Wouldn't it be just as effective to have the gun in a closet and where a child can't get to it?

Mine is actually a semi-automatic not a wheel gun, and it's in my bedside drawer, not under the pillow. I believe the shotgun gives me a better sense of security than the pistol does though.
