If they vote like they did the last time a major government official actually and knowingly lied then they will say, "forget it. lying is no big deal"

Remeber Bill? Oh but he was a Democrat wasn't he. And that makes it OK. Poor Gonzales is a Republican so Democrats will want to hang him.

Do you ever get the impression that some people on YA (especially in the politics) section would silence the freedom of speech of people on a much bigger scale if they could get away with it ? Seeing as how they seem to have blocked a lot of people from answering their questions ? Especially when it's for no other reason than those people that blocked them disagree with them ?
Can you imagine what some of these people would try to do if they ran for political office and got elected ?

I just read that a congressman admitted that the confederate flag is the flag of the Democrats. No he wasn't a Republican, he is a famous political leaders son, the one who was there when they shot a good man.

I'm curious and I would like to know. I helped someone with the downpayment for a car, I asked for a loan to helped this person. I was promised I was going to be payed back (it was an exgirlfriend), I was never paid. I don't like the idea of going to court because I always thought people I trust was trustable. I don't know what my ex is thinking but whatever she thinks, is not paying anything. I wonder what the bible says, we should forgive and let it go, or go to a judge?

Americans give record $295B to charity

"Individuals gave a combined 75.6% of the total".

It tells you something about American culture that is unlike any other country," said Claire Gaudiani, a professor at NYU's Heyman Center for Philanthropy and author of The Greater Good: How Philanthropy Drives the American Economy and Can Save Capitalism. Gaudiani said the willingness of Americans to give cuts across income levels, and their investments go to developing ideas, inventions and people to the benefit of the overall economy.

Gaudiani said Americans give TWICE as much as the next most charitable country, according to a November 2006 comparison done by the Charities Aid Foundation. In philanthropic giving as a percentage of gross domestic product, the U.S. ranked first at 1.7%. No. 2 Britain gave 0.73%, while France, with a 0.14% rate, trailed such countries as South Africa, Singapore, Turkey and Germany.

New World Order. one court, one currency, one education system, one media source, one religion, one police force, the world under one government
U.N. global warming pact with the US creates this U.N. Convention of Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) creates another dangerous U.N. bureaucracy, with a seabed “authority” to run ocean affairs, as well as a court system and a global tax. It is created by the World Federalists as a major stepping stone on the road to world government. It is also designed to make it easier for the “international community” to thwart the exercise of U.S. military power in foreign affairs. Don’t expect our media to report these facts to the American people U.S. Navy officials, acting clueless and completely in the dark about the nature of U.N. bureaucracies, are actually lobbying on Capitol Hill for Senate ratification of the pact. It shows examples of how weak the U.S. has become that our military officials have been reduced to functioning as a lobbying arm of the Was

I was charged, and pleaded "no contest" to OWI. When I look at my record online, it says that the action was "dismissed". It also notes that "All charges against (my name) in this case have been dismissed. These charges were not proven and have no legal effect. (my name) is presumed innocent."
Was I convicted? Do I have to say that I've been convicted on job applications? i was never read my "rights". was I even arrested?
Thanks for your help.

My husband was sentenced to a 15 year term. He only has to do 15% of that time. But I hired an attorney who said he could get him paroled sooner. It has been a year and a half and he has done nothing. Everytime I talk to him he promises something will be done "next week", and obviously nothing does! I don't know what to do. I am afraid if I file a complaint with the Bar, that he won't try as hard to get him out. He is a very good attorney, and I want him to just do what he told me he can do. Any suggestions? Please, no husband bashing, really, I could do without. Thanks in advance.
