Who else thinks that the work week should be shorter or less hours work in a day? I serioulsy hate it when the weekend comes because it is never long enough for rest or doing fun things. I also think that 8 hours is too freakin' long to be working, I think 6 hours would be great. Why and how did we come up that people have to work 8 hours a day and 40 hours per week or more. Since I know Americans are workaholics. Can we the people ask the government to change this? I think it should also be mandatory you get breaks. In my old state, we would get 2 15 minute breaks, but in this new state they only allow 10 minute breaks, to me that's measly rushed relaxation and a lot of times I don't even take them because you have to be constantly getting everything done now, now!!! Who could I put this idea to? Who's with me!? LOL

I don't want to know about ethical issues. I want to know about legalities. I've got a card in his name, which I can make the payments on and I'm ready to use it. He is a stingy, cheap man who wouldn't allow me to have one on my own. I am a stay at home mom.

My husband and I were discussing this last night and wondering if people are anti this whole war, or are they just tired of the war and think at this point it is useless at this point.
I ask this because on Sept 11, 2001 I don't know of a person who disagreed with our troops going over seas and bombing and killing the people who killed thousands of our innocent men women and children in one of our strongest cities in the US. However, I think that as the years have gone on and more and more troops are dying our citizens are getting tired of it and are ready for it to come to and end. I myself understand that their is a need for war sometimes to preserve our freedom, however their is a point where we need to expect other countries to stand on their own.
Anyhow, just want to know if when you say anti-war, do you mean you disagree with everything having to do with the war or do you think that we need to withdraw at this point.
Please no ugly word I just want point of views. Thanks.

I don't want a day off for it. I don't want another day where the banks can close and we get no mail.

3000 plus innocent civilians, police officers, fire fighters, and federal employees lost their lives on that day. One group of people on the last plane showed those cretins what American loyalty and love of our fellowman means when they sent their own plane down short of the designated target, knowing they were going to die. How many years have to go by before it becomes a national day of rememberance?

Can I file a lawsuit after watching a worker at my daughter's daycare not wash her hands after helping a young child use the toilet?
My daughter has only been there 3 days, and she's been vomitting all night last night. I've used this daycare before several months ago, and had to take time off from work, and eventually got fired after caring for my sick daughter. She always gets sick at this daycare, but it's the closest one around.
I just got a new job and cannot afford to take time off for anymore "sick days" or to even look for a new childcare. Is there any legal recourse I can take?
Please help!

I'm 20 years old and I graduated in 2006 from "Family Christian Academy" which is a homeschool facility. My mother was my teacher and in order for me to join the documentation, she must sign my transcripts. She refuses to sign because she doesn't want me to "die". This is what I want to do, because I could die walking down to road in my home town, and I'd rather die for a cause than to live for nothing. How can I get around this?

LOS ANGELES - Federal agents raided 10 marijuana clinics Wednesday, the same day city leaders introduced a measure calling for an end to the crackdown on the dispensaries allowed under state law

Keeping in mind that California voters approved medical marijuana sales in 1996. The drug remains illegal under federal law.

I think state rights are being trampled on...and again I think Federal Agents have better things to do...like maybe track and capture terrorists?

Hello?

sigh.

So now Bushco won't even obey a subpoena issued by Congress? Even if they show up and say they won't answer the questions because of the B.S. reason of "executive privilege", they need to show up. For the President to demonstrate such contempt for Congress (funny how this has happened now that the Dems control the House and Senate) and our Constitution is just wrong, dangerous, and downright UN-AMERICAN! To say there is a political element in all this is stating the obvious. It's Washington, duh! What Congress did IS legal, that can't be argued (no matter what your political leanings). What the President has done is not. It is contempt of Congress.

What should be done to make this White House follow the rule of law?

How will you feel if Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama have the same capability in a year and a half? Will you say that it is fine, as I have nothing to hide, or will it suddenly be an issue because the other party has control of it?

Have politicians been receiving campaign funds from businesses who hire illegals? Do you think there is a connection between those who support amnesty for illegals and paybacks to these businesses who seek higher profits illegally?

Let me explain this where everyone can unsterstand.
1. an illegal immigrant obtains a social security card/number that belongs to someone else.
2. They use this # to work in the country
3. Taxes are paid in, plus it shows that income was received(not by the actual person, but by the illegal)

The person that this S/S # belongs to filles their taxes, but it is kicked back because of the income it shows they received but didn't report due to the illegal immigrant using it. How hard is it to clear that type of mess up and can anything be done to the employer of the illegal, or the illegal his or herself. How can you find out if someone else is using your social security number. I know this is alot of questions all rolled up into one and I hope I explained it where everyone can understand it.

Ninety years after Upton Sinclair published his groundbreaking expose of the nation's meatpacking industry, illegal immigrants are flocking to the United States to take the dangerous, low-paying jobs most Americans won't. The difference between now and then: Now there's a system that keeps the illegals coming and the industry humming--and the plants have come to rely on it.

I have 3 kids with my ex.
He is a deadbeat, and has never paid a penny in support.
Our oldest is disabled and I have struggled considerably.
He works off the books, and has no qualms letting people know this, as he goes to the store across the street with his boss every morning for coffee, lottery tix, and cigarettes.
Can I get a support order if he is working off the books?

Can I somehow hold his employer, ( another scumbag) somehow responsible for support?
And is having employees off the books illegal?

I have a support order that is old, and when the lowlife said he was " unemployed", the judge ordered $10 a month, which I have also never recieved.
I live in NY state.

Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem.

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them??

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do on the other hand have a problem with helping someone sitting on their butts doing drugs, while I work... Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check ?????

as an Englishman who is currently flying home from a business trip to the USA i am asking this.
AS everyone is aware the American troops have been tarred the worst in the world mainly for shooting people who are on the same side, but i have a theory which could change that.
My theory is that the American soldiers are given guns which were previously used at fairgrounds, the fairgound workers traditionally bend the barrells thus rendering it extremely diffcult to win a prize. These guns are then given to USA military for use in wars.
Anyone agree?

We have been fighting in Iraq for years. The country has been bombed and rebombed and still we feel we are losing this war.Something is not right. These persons have no armies or planes only civil disobedience in the name of car bombs and killing persons thru suicide. Lets look at this realistically and find out what or why we are suppossed to be losing. Its melting the north pole the heat from oil fields burning and bombings and the general census of who cares?? Its not happening atitutude needs to be addressed. Cars need to be upgraded to safe measures or time spans need to be implicated for air quality. Like driving 2 hours a day maximum. Real issues need answers.
Do you have any ideas how to address this mess?
