How will you feel if Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama have the same capability in a year and a half? Will you say that it is fine, as I have nothing to hide, or will it suddenly be an issue because the other party has control of it?

H*ll yeah, I have a problem with Bush using this. How many reports do we have to hear of it being used illegally on law abiding Americans before people wake up?

Wide spread wire tapping would be a huge problem. The wire tapping involves suspected terrorists and if by some chance I was speaking to one I really wouldn't have a problem with that call being tapped as I wouldn't have anything to hide and want the terrorists caught.

If they had gone through the correct process, I would be ok with the wiretapping. I love being safe. However, like Ben Franklin said: Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both. And I agree.

Why do conservatives who don't trust the government with a national health plan trust the government with blanket wire tapping?

I like to turn that question around to our secretive government.
It wouldn't change how I feel regardless as to which party was in power.
Our government has too much power and the stupid people in this country let them.
It's only going to get worse regardless as to who is in office.

As long as they are using it to pursue suspected terrorists, then I will continue to have no problem with it.
There is no doubt in my mind that if the tool is still available, they will indeed use it, and use it appropriately.

Is that the way YOU feel right now? Will you be fine with it if a democrat takes office?
I think if it gives them the information they need to protect our country, then by all means, have at it. Believe me, there ain't nothing said during my phone calls that would be of interest to anyone. lol

If one of them implemented it, I still wouldn't have a problem with it. And that's only because it is being used to fight the war on terror.
Now using your logic, is the only reason why libs are against wiretapping to root out terrorist is because Bush is the one implementing it?

Funny, but we seem to have these things called morals and character. I don't see it happening.
