Yes. George Bush will pardon Alberto Gonzalez because he
thinks he is above the law. He (Bush) has shown he doesn't
respect any of the laws of the United States.

No doubt George Bush will pardon Alberto Gonzales if convicted. It's the prerogative of being president.

It won't even get to the convicted and sentenced part, Bush will pardon them all even if he has to give himself a few new powers, and hes doing that more and more often.
Bush One and Clinton are just about tied in the amount of pardons given out.

Clinton fired the prosecutors when he took office after a Republican president. That's normal procedure.
Bush Two fired his own prosecutors. Not holdovers from a previous administration, but his own choices. That's a key difference.

Not that Gonzales has been convicted of anything, but supposing he is...perhaps. It would hardly be an unprecedented move. Presidents do that now and then...

Remember G Gordon Liddy, Susan McDougal, Roger Clinton?

Your beef might be with the Constitution, not Bush.

And just who will be prosecuting Gonzalez? The Dept. Of Justice that he is in charge of or maybe the Bush appointee laced Supreme Court?

Ya, Dubya is protective of people that are working for him. He seems to have a strong sense of loyalty and will defend his people to the end, right or wrong. It's this loyalty that will lead to his impeachment. I kinda feel for him in this because loyalty is an all to uncommon trait, especially for those in power. I hate to see what I consider a virtue bring him down, but the rule of law must be protected.

If it were to ever happen, he probably would. Then, another 180 more pardons to beat Clinton's record.
