I honestly thought it would have been "too political" to actually hang him. I was quite shocked when I heard that he was actually executed.

Did not surprise me at all. I was, however, a little surprised and very disappointed at the way it was carried out. The new Iraqi government had a chance to show their legitimacy and came off looking like a lynch mob.

Every dog has his day.
We knew he would be executed sooner or later. But believe me my friend, executing saddam hussein, was the biggest mistake the Unites states has committed in middle eastern politics today. He was bad, fine. But the iraqi people, not to mention the arab world, needed someone like saddam to rule with an iron fist, Not DEMOCRACY. How can you give democracy to people who have never tasted or felt it, they will nto know how to act with it. During saddam there were no roadside bombings, during saddam, iran was a little puppy in the corner, and syria was a kitty not daring to say a word. Now the U.S unleashed these animals on the mid-east. Saddam ruled the way a true arab leader should rule these people. America will pay greatly for executing saddam, Well it is already paying today, Iran wants to destroy it, syria is using terrorist groups to harm the U.S, and the whole world is against america, this is the price the U.S will pay for killing the greatest dictator in middle eastern history.

I was, and frankly (and I mean seriously), I wish they had hanged a few of our more Leftist congresspersons instead.

Saddam never directly threatened my freedoms like some of our Congress does back home.

i was suprised that the american gov't didnt step in and say it was immoral to do so.........however if you saw the video of his hanging i thought i was to un organized...but i guess i shouldnt expect more from a 3rd world country.....I would like to see hanging as part of the death penalty here....and if a 16 year old retard did somthing to get the death penalty then by all means get rid of him.

Please.
Bush is in favor of executing mentally-retarded 16-year olds. Why wouldn't he want to kill the mean Arab who talked smack to his daddy??
