I just read that a congressman admitted that the confederate flag is the flag of the Democrats. No he wasn't a Republican, he is a famous political leaders son, the one who was there when they shot a good man.

I will gladly forward an e-mail to whom ever wants it. At least he was honest, and me as a moderate republican can applaude that.

The Democrat Party is a party of demagoguery and demagoguery only survives when there is a general sense of misery and hopelessness. If the less fortunate masses suddenly became successful or at least hopeful, there would be no basis for demagoguery hence no use for Democrat ideology. Therefore they have to keep certain people on the bottom of the social/economic ladder or at least convince them that they are on the bottom (relatively speaking) so as to maintain some semblance of usefulness.

back before the civil rights movement, the stars and bars WAS the flag of the dems.

jfk and the civil rights movement changed all of that.

once the dems embraced and enforced desegregation, many people of the south fled to the republicans, who were all to happy to have them.

this is also why, currently only about 2% of african americans support republicans in general.

so, what you say WAS true - about 60 years ago.

if you go back about 100 years before that - abe lincoln was one of america's most liberal political leaders.

a little time changes everything - though you would never know that to read your question - which due to it's lack of cited sources - is just a carefully cloaked (or not) deception.

The Democrats are just as hypocritical as the Republicans.

Forget about national politics (it's bought and controlled by multinationals). Focus on what you can do locally to bring your communities together and find a good life for yourself.

Amazing as it may seem, money does not equal happiness. (Tune out [mass media].)
