Can we say words like the n-word, hoe or other offensive words when writing comments on webpages? Where can I find more about the law on this? What's the extent of free speech on the internet?

The people of New Orleans did go to shelters, but they were badly damaged during the Katrina, then once the shelters released them after the hurricane, it was hell. They needed help down there, and it took Bush a week while people were dying and getting raped. Not everyone can afford to leave the city. It would seem to me that americans would care more about their own people here in the country than people 2,000 miles away. There were even people in hospitals and special homes that couldnt leave New Orleans, ...stop calling them ignorant because they couldnt take a trip to Atlanta or whatever during Katrina.

I'm pro american ...and I believe the american people come first and new orleans is a part of america
If you're pro american then you'd feel sorry for the victims and families of new orleans instead of calling them stupid just because it made Bush look bad for taking a week to send help.

I am sure that they areso happy that we FREED them! We have a soldier on every street corner watching them and telling them when to go to bed, and questioning them constantly. I am sure that Bush will get a thank you card from them, right?

I mean, this man freed them. Iraq is such a great country to be in now since it is a free, democratic society in which people can live happily without fearing for their lives. Bush should definitely visit Iraq on vacation, he will be treated as royalty, don't you think?

I am currently in the navy, my time to re-enlist happens in 7 days. I have worked in my dept for 4 years and love the job that I have the problem started this evening when they decided to move me to the flight deck and do security which will totally take me out of the division ive been in for 4 years. Right now as it stands, I am pretty much my own boss, but with Security working on the flight deck, I will have very long hours, work 3 days on, 3 days off, wont hardly get to see my wife, will never have time to study for the asvab to advance and do something else. I wanted to strike AG but found that this rate is closed. Im really at a crossroad because I make good money but at the same time the sacrifices I will have to make just to get re- enlistment bonus or make the money I make doesnt seem worth it. Im not sure which direction I should take. Does anyone out there have any suggestions for me or who I should talk to? Ive tried the career counselor but they are no help really...

Even if that country has penalties that we in the U.S. find brutal or excessive?

I've been worried lately of another terror attack on U.S. soil. I wish I was a neo-con. If I were, I would be so brave and patriotic and therefore not worry of an attack at all. But sadly, I am a sane, logical thinker.

It's true. There are in fact Republicans that have opened their eyes about what is really going on because of the man they voted for in 2004 and they do feel terrible. They're doing the right thing: asking questions.

The media is controlled by the government. To those that don't understand what I'm getting at, we receive FILTERED news. We are not allowed to hear what we are not wanted to hear.

The internet on the otherhand is not as strict... get out there and research.

If hardcore Republican/Bush-supporters can turn into truth-seekers than what is stopping EVERYONE from opening their eyes? You are.

I called into my local police department to let them know about a vehicle parked at a business with its brake lights and interior lights on. It was 2 in the morning. They told me it would be a while before anyone could get there. I decided to drive back by and make sure I didn't see anyone actually trying to break into the car. The police had already got there. I drove on by, never stopping or getting out of my car. A few days later I got a ticket in the mail for Obstruction of Official Duty. The police are very familiar with me, because I have done many ride-alongs with them and they know I want to become a police officer. This felt like such a slap in the face. My question to you guys is, do you really think I did anything wrong?? I have to appear in court for it tomorrow.

Since Bush has been in office, 10,000 Americans have died through war, Katrina, ( Katrina was not his doing but it took him a week to send help while people were dying and getting raped) and 9/11. Because of Bush wanting to take down Iraq ( instead of Bid Ladin) Gas prices have surged to triple the amount they were before Bush was elected, the economy is worst than its been in years. He can mobilize a shock and destroy unit to iraq 2,000 miles away but cant send help to his own Americans in New Orleans.

How could you vote for this man again? I dont understand.

DUE to the Patriotic Act Bush has the power to stop elections from happening (see 1st link)... With all the suspicion going around and evidence against Bush does anyone else feel like we are guaranteed to suffer another terrorist attack before we get Bush out of the White house?

(You may want to check out the rest of the article, 2nd link)
"When the President determines a catastrophic emergency has occurred, the President can take over all government functions and direct all private sector activities to ensure we will emerge from the emergency with an "enduring constitutional government."

Translated into layman's terms, when the President determines a national emergency has occurred, the President can declare to the office of the presidency powers usually assumed by dictators to direct any and all government and business activities until the emergency is declared over."

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

The comma in question is to separate militia from personal right to bear arms, correct?

Well going with these ideals, the militia part would still be intact, no? And with a militia, who provides the fire arms? Isn't a militia a SELF-ARMED organization of people for defense and/or emergency para-military service?

Anyone see the problem?

I had the lawyer for an ex-employer tell me I was not allowed to see the sales reports they turn in each week to my local county government and that if I kept asking for them they would sue me. The government agency they report to said I was right and that these reports ARE in the public domain and I may view them.

This attorney was telling a lie. Can I do anything about this?
