Actually it disturbs me that the people to whom we entrust our goverment, who should be among the smartest in the world, cannot make more efficient use of their time.

I think instead of working an all nighter they should just take a month off like the Iraqis. They haven't accomplished anything since January anyway. They waste their time trying to pass bills they know are going to get vetoed and they don't have the votes to override them anyway. This is a gross waste of their time just to make a political statement.

If your pro Bush (as your name implies), you had better hope they do nothing. The very reason they have a very low approval rating is because they didn't do what they got elected for ! If they did that approval rating would approach 50% when they cut off funding for the Iraq war or write up articles for impeachment against Bush and Cheney.
In other words, I suggest people like you shut up.

I'm not sure I'll be able to sleep knowing they're up to something. As Mark Twain once observed, no man's life, liberty and property are safe when Congress is in session.

Childish isn't it. It is a stunt for attention, and it is sad to say this is the most spine I've ever seen ole' Ted Kennedy have, besides wanting to throw all our guns in the incinerator.

I'm even more proud of the Iraqi parliament and the hard work they're doing! They're taking the month off because...it's hot! Woo!

I'm not amused by their little shenanigans anymore, and particularly this one. The idea that they'll be up for several hours scheming away is more worrying than anything else.

They mistakenly take the American public for fools. This stunt might actually drop their approval rating into single digits. Unbelievable.

The laws they pass when they've had enough sleep are absolutely putrid enough.
We don't need what they will come up with at 4 a.m.
