People seem to always be disappointed with candidates after they win an election. Probably becuase they don't keep their promises and always seem to do whats best financially. Right? With that said, which political party is the best bet?

I said this as an answer somewhere else, but I thought it would make a good question to get reactions to.

I love intelligent discussion, so keeping that in mind, what do you think?

I was wondering this because America has just gone nothing but downhill over the years. The government seems to be making matters worse and stripping the rights of the people more and more every month. a Revolution just seems Inevitable. When do you think it will happen?

I saw where one person (vegaswoman) was even complaining about peoples avatars. Hers is a generic "company" avatar completely devoid of originality or style, yet she complains about others. Answer this quickly, it's gonna get pulled.

Soooo Ive been with my boyfriend for over 3 years now and he joind the navy, he left in april. We did have plans to get married at the end of the year. I called him while intoxicated the other night and told him about how upset i was about him being gone and how i miss him a real lot. Now he decided that we should wait untill after his first deployment to get married bc he dosent think i can handle it. Hes afraid im going to leave him bc it "happens alot". The worst part is that he has 6 months of school then who knows when he will be deployed?!? Is this a normal thing for new sailors to go through and why is he all of a sudden insecure? anything helps thanks

Is oil the only thing that keeps them afloat in this world? Why are there no Islamic majority superpower nations?

My guess is if they didn't have oil, we wouldn't have trouble.

... did without medicines, food, and heat? Clinton and the Dems didn't give a single dime to help American grandmas and grandpas buy their medicines.

But, the Dems sure gave boatloads of money to illegals and their families.

I am not a fan of the invasion in Iraq, but now it's too late for the blame game. I wish we wouldn't have gone in and created the mess we have to clean up, but now the US has to think of what to do now that we "made the bed we sleep in".

I am all for pulling troops out of Iraq and placing them in Afghanistan where they should be, but can we really pull out the majority of the troops and still effectively defeat the Al-Qaeda outfits in Iraq?

Then after congress audited Halliburton and found out they over charged the American tax payers a billion dollars Bush and Cheney said they would take care of it internally, but never did anything. Halliburton still today has the contract that they still never had to bid for. What happen to a free market? Or conflict of interest? Why are we still paying Halliburton even after we found out they over charged us a billion dollars. Some of the overcharges from Halliburton to the American Tax payers...
Load of Laundry = $64
Ford Expedition = $250,000
Plate of food for troops = $75 per plate (not steak & Lobster)

Even Republicans should be mad about this. This isn't even political. This is just straight stealing from American Tax Payers....

I went for a walk with my mom, my two children and our dogs. My youngest child is 18 months and both our dogs are very small. One is a Yorkie mix and my dog is a Min Pin. We often go for walks and we have never encountered any problems, except for today. We were minding our own business, walking down the street. We live in a very quiet neighborhood. Out of nowhere came this German Sheppard and he beelined for my dog. He had coaxed his way thru his fence. Needless to say I kept screaming NO! and my poor dog went airborne because it was all I could do to keep the dog from attacking my dog and he almost succeeded in biting her. His jaws were big enough to sever her spine. My mom was trying her best to shield the baby, who was in the stroller and her dog, which she had picked up as all the commotion was going on. In the midst of all the screaming, the dog's owner got his attention and asked for our welfare and deeply apologized. What's to keep that dog from attacking us again?

I am asking this question directly to the individual, not their political beliefs. This question is about YOU...... not as a democrat or republican. If you answer this question by slamming any political party or their leaders then you have avoided the question.

Just try answering the question with a "yes" or "no" and a brief explanation.

Goodness for the sake of humanity!

How do some people live with some of the decisions they make?

So many people espouse religious beliefs.

How do they think they will justify to their 'maker' when they are judged to the choices they have made because of profit or power?
