Then after congress audited Halliburton and found out they over charged the American tax payers a billion dollars Bush and Cheney said they would take care of it internally, but never did anything. Halliburton still today has the contract that they still never had to bid for. What happen to a free market? Or conflict of interest? Why are we still paying Halliburton even after we found out they over charged us a billion dollars. Some of the overcharges from Halliburton to the American Tax payers...
Load of Laundry = $64
Ford Expedition = $250,000
Plate of food for troops = $75 per plate (not steak & Lobster)

Even Republicans should be mad about this. This isn't even political. This is just straight stealing from American Tax Payers....

Ok.... So to those less informed. The house found an e-mail from Cheney to the CEO of Halliburton setting the hole deal up, and the lady the was in charge of singing off on government contracts lost her job when she publicly said that the contract to Halliburton was the largest break of conflict of interest and crooked inside trading she has ever seen. It's a fact that Cheney set it up.. That part has already been proven...

Conflict of interest would be if Cheney received money for doing that, which may or may not be true. One great example is how many people in the current administration received large sums of money from AIG prior to the vote on the AIG bailout. That most certainly is a conflict of interest even before you get into the fact that the bill specifically allowing executive bonuses.

First, Cheney did not award any contracts...Congress does that. So while you blindly rail against Cheney, See how the Democrats voted to award the contract.
The initial Government Services was greabted to Haliburton in the Mid 1990's.
Who was President?
This line of stuff just shows people will buy anything, if they are told over and over again.
Hell, the Clinton's got rich on Exxon and Haliburton stock, so they didn't seem concerned. And the Democrat controlled Congress just awarded them another 5 Billion Dollars.
Maybe they just do a good job?

He was following the Clinton's lead when they decided to go with a no bid solution and chose Halliburton for the clean up of Iraq. Cheney got rid of his stock before he took office. That is documented facts.

The manure that Cheney and Bush have created is so deep it will never be " taken " care of or cleaned up.

They have good and truly screwed the American people.. and they are just laughing.. and know what.. we are all too dumb to do anything about it..

Call your congressmen or woman.. what in hell do they think they were elected for.

Cheney should be sent to Iraq to patrol the streets, as he expects so many young, innocent, and uninformed Americans to do day after day in order to benefit the bank accounts of him and his co-conspirators...

For one thing Cheney doesn't "give out" the contract. Its given out thru the DOD and approved by congress. The original No bid contract was given to haliburton in the 90s. Since this is the only company with the experience and ablity to fill the contracts they get it. If you can, name a company that could do what they do.

Bush's attitude is that once he tricks you into voting for him it's none of your damned business what he does with your money. And what better way to spend it than buying off his supporters.
