Goodness for the sake of humanity!

How do some people live with some of the decisions they make?

So many people espouse religious beliefs.

How do they think they will justify to their 'maker' when they are judged to the choices they have made because of profit or power?

Oh...how exactly would you do that?

And then, what exactly of value would *YOU* produce that you would exchange with someone else for something of value to you?

BTW...turn off your computer...without a monetary system, they would have never been invented.

I disagree with you. I believe money is the root of all GOOD. It is the pursuit of profit that has raised the standard of living in capitalists countries to the highest in the world. It is capitalism that promotes efficiency, quality and competition.

Millions upon millions of people who live in abject poverty would tell you that a statement like yours would only be heard in a wealthy country.

How many Christian Charities are there? How many Christian missionaries have given their own lives trying to help the poor in conflict torn nations throughout the world?

I have no problem explaining to God that I have lived a self-sufficient life. That I took good care of my family and contributed part of my net worth to charity. None of which would be possible without capitalism's constant per suit of a profit.

America is the most charitable and giving country on earth. We have rebuilt our former enemies countries after wars, fed and clothed their populations and installed capitalist governments in the place of former tyrannies. Now look at the quality of life in Germany, Italy and Japan.

We lend billions of dollars to poor countries and rarely is it repaid. America feeds the world. None of this would be possible without the wealth our system generates.

I repeat, "Money is the root of all GOOD in the world."

And you can take that to the bank.

Yes, I can imagine, and this is a great question. This is, what the John Lennon song, "Imagine" is mostly about! There is more to the song than just money, of course, but money certainly enters into it! *sm*
