Green/Environmental parties are the best, unfortunately USA doesn't have this as a vaible option. In fact America is about the worst political structure in the world. Campaigning starts too early and costs too much. It is wasteful. Both contending parties have so much overlap that many important issues don't get the light of day. Plus people feel so defeated by our electoral process that much of our voting population doesn't show up to vote. Plus the lobby groups and big companies are so influential because of the overly expensive electoral process that they finance that it ends up being companies that are the big winners in US elections instead of the people because now the politicians owe them. Quite a big joke on us really.

well for the 08 election consider the two parties one the Commiecrat their agenda is one cut and run making us look weak to our enemies, two tax the bejesus out of big oil which then makes us beg for more foreign oil and again makes us look weak, three socialisim medicne (think canada here), four kill the economy, five cut and run, six cut and run and if the Queen wins seven will be serve milk and cookies to our enemies begging for forgivness. Oh and #8 they fabricate totally fictional stories abotu 9/11 and Dick Cheeny leading a special double secret probation commando unit to New Orleans to Blow up Levys.
Now for the republicans they actually back up what they say (even if they never found the WMD motherload which is in Syria by now), two they actually care about the economy. This current president gets absolutely NO CREDIT OR RESPECT for saving this economy, three they want us to explore and not depend on our enemies for oil, four the tax dividend breaks we are enjoying now should be made permanent, five keep the forces strong, and six reject any cut and run proposals from the commies.
Now the reason why they don't keep promises is because of the lobbyists they are the real evil of Washington.

You have to look at what each party stands for. Then decide for yourself which is most in line with what you believe in. Many people vote based on so many things other than what is the real platform that the politician stands on. They do not usually have enough information to make an intelligent decision. That is why they complain so much after the winner gets in office. People need to study and read and learn for themselves... not base their decision on a few news stories here or there.

Neither party has been consistent with their respective platforms of late. The Republicans have become big spenders while the Democrats just do not do anything other than pass non-binding resolutions. I am a moderate Republican and have a hard time voting for either of them at this point. Where is a competent party that wants low taxes, balanced budgets, less government, and stays out of the bedroom?

The Libertarian Party is the only party with principles. However, the system is rigged by the Democrats and Republicans to exclude third parties so it is unlikely that they will be elected.
Currently, the only honest politician will principles in either of the two major parties running for national office is Ron Paul.

Mine. I'm the sole member. Try it. It's nice not listening to partisan political sound bites. You know, evaluating the candidates on individual issues and such and not on how much their party raised for them. That sort of thing.
