When someone vomits, the vomit becomes aerosolized (that's what you smell...) when those particles enter your nose, you can catch the virus that caused it.

Blowing smoke in someone's face is a battery, why not vomit? A battery has nothing to do with a persons intent. Not going to the bathroom to vomit is negligence of omission.

Conservative strongly opposed JFK and used the most strident and ludicrous language to instill fear of his leadership. Military leaders in the Pentagon were openly subordinate in languge, and narrowly almost, in deeds, when JFK was President. Military leaders at the Pentagon even suggested to JFK that a nuclear war with Russia was a wise course of action. Why can't some people see how limited their thinking reallt is!

i noticed that the army has banned blogs. i know the army doesn't 'allow' disagreements on their actions but i was wondering if there is a blog, website or whatever where soldiers can go and discuss the problems they are experiencing with the army with other soldiers and get help or guidance. like any institution there are problems and we all know that there are lots of problems with the medical care of soldiers and i just wondered if there was somewhere they could go and at least talk to someone. and not anti-military sites

hey , so was it all worth it? do you regret being a cop? I mean I been trying to be a police officer since I was a kid. but I want to know is it actually saving peoples lives, taking down crooks , and making the world safer. or is it mostly just writing seatbelt tickets , and traffic tickets. and you know stuff that gets on peoples nerves. was there enough action in it? do you fell like you did some good , or do you fell like(no disrespect) you where some pawn in the goverments game?

There would be two basic rules:

One, there would be no limits on campaign contributions. Anyone could bankroll anyone else. The list of contributors, however, would have to be made public immediately and widely publicized.

Two, there would be a program initiated called the "clean elections initiative." (New Jersey is already experimenting with something like this.) Any candidate that receives a set number of small donations from a large group of people, and who refuses to accept large contributions, can campaign as a "clean elections" candidate and receive generous public funds for the campaign.

Yes, it's idealistic - perhaps hopelessly so. But it seems to address the problems with money in campaigns without actually prohibiting people from making contributions.

I'm sure there are problems. But I hope there is some merit also.

What are your thoughts? Thanks.

I asked a question recently about the juror who was listening to her mp3 under her hijab.. and wondered if our judges are "extra mindful" of not upsetting any religious groups..
Today, I am asking the same question... only re the judge deciding that it's ok for ALL farmers whose cattle have a negative tb test to be put down... EXCEPT THIS ANIMAL.. on the grounds of QUOTE "But a judge ruled it would infringe the community's rights under Article Nine of the European Convention on Human Rights covering freedom of religion. "
Whilst I accept other faiths and thier cultures, nevertheless, farmers in West WALES and other parts of UK and Ireland have lost valuable livestock over the YEARS from not only a negative tb test, but QUESTIONABLE tb negative tests also..
There is a reason for this test.. but not for this particular bullock..? (I have personal experience of such tests and the outcomes for POSITIVE tb test.. but different to Shambo !

I have been reading a lot on this guy recently and have gone from a state of basic knowledge to a bit more indepth understanding. He just seems to be appearing in everything I see currently. Be it the National Geographic in the dentist waiting room yesterday, on the idiot box or in the copy private eye I found under my bed over the weekend.

He annoys me, simply because I cant make up my mind on where I stand... which is unusual for me. Every school of thought on him actually has a good point amongst the bias and I find I fluctuate between considering him being a great but bad man, a idealist , a humanist, the next Castro and so on... I just cant pin him down.

I did a search and found a few questions similar to this, but most were rather old or focused more on specific aspects of him and his regime, where as I would simply like to hear more general thoughts.

Chances are though, whatever you say, it will say more about you then him!

My friend entered the US using only a tourist visa. He illegally had a job. How is it possible? Tourist visa doesn't allow the holder to work, does it?

His visa was even changed from tourist to working visa eventually.

The Democrats seem to have increased the campaign for an immediate pullout. And yes, some Republicans have joined them.

Why?

If they were paid by the hour, does anybody know how much it would be? Also, if you can, include any housing benefit that they may recieve, and what the average employer might save as far as taxes, etc.

Forbes carries an article that a group representing the children of holocaust survivors have filed a lawsuit against Germany to pay for psychiatric care. Given what Germany has done to make reparations over the last 60 years - when will enough be enough.

Now I am the first one to NOT sue over dumb stuff, but I think that this is BS.

My friend went into Rempke's yesterday (a grocery store) and did some of his shopping. On his way out, he was stopped by security stating that he stole something (which he DID NOT...he paid for everything that he had).

Security stopped him prior to him reaching his car and then called for police backup. The cops get there, don't ask him ANYTHING and just reach into his car and start looking through his bags. Once they didn't find anything in his bags, the continue to search the entire car. Still found nothing. They searched him...nothing. The cop wouldn't give him his badge number or a police report. He finally found a pen in his car and got the badge number of the cop, the name of the security guard. The cop wouldn't give him any written report...nothing and acted like a complete dick to him the whole time. There were people standing around and both the cop and guard we treating him like he did.
