Who are the losers and gainers, what are the direct and indirect cost, and what are the causes and conseqences?

I travel by car alot and drive across Iowa several times a year and always find that the gas prices are about 10 cents lower than most other places I go. I know this isn't an answer to your question, sorry, but just an observation.

No, it isn't a social problem; rather, it is an economic problem. Of course, it doesn't effect only Iowa.

Most people worry too much about the price of a gallon of gas. You will spend more on health care than gasoline, even if you drive a gas-guzzler in stop-and-go traffic.

Why is it that we will pay $1.25 for a bottle of " spring tap water" (which amounts to about $10 a gallon btw) and complain about 3$ a gallon gasoline?
