Conservative strongly opposed JFK and used the most strident and ludicrous language to instill fear of his leadership. Military leaders in the Pentagon were openly subordinate in languge, and narrowly almost, in deeds, when JFK was President. Military leaders at the Pentagon even suggested to JFK that a nuclear war with Russia was a wise course of action. Why can't some people see how limited their thinking reallt is!

People forget that JFK initiated the Civil Rights Bill. LBJ only signed it because it was passed after JFK's assassination. JFK also wanted to start downscaling Vietnam and that didn't go over with the military "leaders" so it's unlikely JFK would go along with nuking Russia. Conservatives love war -Vietnam, Iraq...blah...blah..
