The misdemeanor didn't involve drugs it was petty theft.

It depends what you were convicted of. If it was any type of drug offense, then probably. Be aware that expunged convictions can still be found during background checks.

Without knowing what state you live in, it's impossible to tell. But for the most part, no.
Felony convictions, and convictions for drugs, violent crimes and crimes of a sexual nature are as a rule the ones that will keep you out of the field.

No you will not be. Just be honest and let them know about it before hand.

Do not, I repeat do not let them find out without you telling them, because then you will be for concealing the truth.
