wasting your vote in a sense due to the fact that they won't win the election? Is it better to vote for the libertarian knowing he won't win or vote for a republican who shares more of your views than democrats to make sure a democrat isn't elected?

and many of the teachers here are outraged. What course of action could I take to see that these people (administrators) are held accountable for this. I know that it's illegal and it really goes against everything that I believe in. Just because they didn't do their job in getting kids to come to school, doesn't mean that they have the right to break the law so that they look good. The school district, which is in a major port city in South Carolina, probably turns their heads because they want to look good as well. What should I do? It's just not right! If there are any school lawyers out there that could help, that would be great.

I considered George Bush one of the greatest Presidents we ever had on September 11th, 2001. He remained calm when he was told about it, he made an awesome speech that rallied the nation that night, and for once in our history, almost every country on the globe was our friend. I was never prouder to be American on 9/11/2001. But, Bush blew it on March 20th, 2003 when US troops invaded Iraq. He changed his story many times about why we were over there, like how Saddam aided al-Qaeda, Saddam had WMDs, etc. The world grew angry with the US and is still angry with us to this day because we are in a war that should not have even happened, or if it did, our troops should have been out years ago. Had Bush never lied about Iraq and had he never invaded, he might have been one of the best Presidents in history when he left office and left a great legacy. Instead, he leaves with a legacy that surrounds the Iraq War.

Should it really be up to the government or laws if

-we want people to start treating the environment with care?

-we want our children to learning something in schools and become competitive in the international range?

-we want human beings to live equally with each other?

explain.

Furthermore, feel free to disagree with me. I won't hold it against you

I pressed charges on someone for harassment- today was the arraignment and he failed to show up. He lives in VA and the arraignment was in Ohio. He asked for continuance 2 times and the last one was denied. He failed to show today so they rescheduled for next Wed. They said if he fails to show again they'll put a warrant out for him. My question is this: If he doesn't show again and they put a warrant out for his arrest, will that warrant show up in VA (or any other state, for that matter)? Or is the warrant only going to be in Ohio?

I was watching a documentary on the History channel last night, and to me it seems like a solid arguement that increased industrial activity and growth has put tons more CO2 in the atmosphere, trapping in the Sun's rays.

I know the Sun is getting brighter and the Earth naturally changes, but even a 2 degree increase in global temperature has exponential effect like the oceans rising 3 feet.

I don't want to talk about Al Gore here so please don't bring him up, I'm talking about melting ice caps, rising oceans, and greenhouse gases, CO2.

What part of Global Warming do skeptics say is not real?

I'm in college and my teacher is a self proclaimed know it all and sure there are lots of facts that I know he misconstrues because I'm an avid reader and I refused to be swayed by someone else's claim to knowledge. Like Mary Shelley died in childbirth and was an avid feminist(that was her mom) and that Gene Stanley was a part of Kiss(that was Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley..and I'm not even a rocker!). Anyway, yesterday he made the comment that Puerto Rico is a commonwealth(common knowledge), but that it wants to become a state. This is recent news to me. As the fiancee of a Puerto Rican, I was pretty sure that Puerto Rico is fine with being a territory and DOES not want to become a state. But what do I know? Is this true?

With the rash of import recalls from China, I just wanted to see how long I could go without purchasing their products. So far, I have had to put three things back on the shelves at the store and decided I didn't need them. Not only have I saved money but I feel better about my carbon foot print for shopping for products from within my own country.

When they suspect you of something and then arrest you and you're innocent why won't they let you talk. You'd say, "Please officer, get me out of these cuffs! I'm 100% innocent!" Then the cop would say, "Quiet! You have the right to remain silent!" Then you'd say, "But officer..." Then he'd cut in and say to you, "SHUT UP! I'M TAKING YOU IN AND THAT'S FINAL!"

Literally 3 blocks from my house, I got stopped for going 32 in a 25 mph. I didn't ask to see the radar (probably should have) and told him I was a resident of the neighborhood and always drives very cafrefully.
I had speeding ticket problems in the past but have been clean for 7-8 years now. I always just paid them in the past, The one time I did try to fight it I had to pay anyway (this was in PA when I was going to school there).
I drive like an old lady generally now b/c I was sick of getting tickets in the past. This is so upsetting I've been so good for so long now...AND he gave it to me the day before my 31st birthday....Thanks Officer Poophead!
