and many of the teachers here are outraged. What course of action could I take to see that these people (administrators) are held accountable for this. I know that it's illegal and it really goes against everything that I believe in. Just because they didn't do their job in getting kids to come to school, doesn't mean that they have the right to break the law so that they look good. The school district, which is in a major port city in South Carolina, probably turns their heads because they want to look good as well. What should I do? It's just not right! If there are any school lawyers out there that could help, that would be great.

To answer your question as to what "LAW" was broken, I don't know exactly but it is illegal to "fudge" documentation so that your school meets state and national standards under the No Child Left Behind Act. I'm sure of this.
