No, global warming acknowledgers do not predict the world will end at all.
Global warming will make life very difficult for humans. It will have effects such as increased droughts, heat waves, water shortages, floods, food shortages, rising sea levels, etc. At some point we'll have to address the issue. The longer we wait, the more resources we'll have to devote to slowing global warming, because the atmospheric concentration of CO2 will just keep increasing until we reduce our emissions:

So doom? No. It will be an extremely difficult life for our children if we don't do anything to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions soon. Some species which can't adapt to the changing climate will go extinct, but humans will find a way to survive. It won't be nearly the good life we have now, but it won't be doom.

Most of Britain will be living in the hills of Wales and Scotland. Eg..London is teetering on the brink now. The amount of polution from refinaries and underground stuff in london would cause disasterous pollution on its own if the water levels rose - by even a fraction. In the north of england there has been freak flooding for the last two weeks.. If global warming isn't here already, it is accelerating very nicely indeed.

heh, I have studied/known/believed in Global Warming since I was in grade school.. and I'm 27 now.. but it's not the end of the world.. yes, it may cause many deaths due to local weather.. yes, it may alter our entire existence in an extreme scenario.. but we are a fairly hearty race.. we'll survive.. as will most creatures.. adapt or extinct right?
so will it end in great doom? well I guess it depends on how you define great doom.. we'll survive.. the questions are this.
can we do something about it?
and if yes, then shouldn't we.. because do we really want to hand our children our mess if we don't have to? we may as well give them the best world we can, instead of asking them to fix our problems.

The world will not end because of global warming, but it will end if a Democrat is elected as President in '08.

I believe in global warming. I also believe that Al Gore is a hypocrite. Doom will only come if a Democrat is elected into the White House in 2008

Nothing general.
Here are the specifics:
1) Coastal areas flooded.
2) More deserts.
3) Tropical diseases move north.
4) More powerful storms.
Can you live with all this? Good for you!
