Stop and think how rediculous this sounds. The USA needs products from China. Just because a few things were recalled why are you like this? Think about how many things that were in the USA that were recalled.
Just about every American made automobile
Pharmaceutical products
Baby Foods
Imported good from China is good for the American economy. A boycott will not only hurt the trade organization, but the people here employed in businesses that sell and depend on these products.

Good for you, I have refused to purchase goods made in China for years, I'd been working in this country, it's the system that are educating the mindset of these people who fear no GOD and no consequencing of harming other's body just to make a quick buck, fake whiskies, fake eggs, industrial dye for food coloring, fake baby formular, breach tissues caused rashes on the bottom, even the plastic toys in W@llm**t from China, it's the recycle plastic from the dump without cleaning it before it turned into toys, I can not image just to execute the Director of the Chinese FDA matters, it's a few generations of people's ethic need to deal with, Made in China, it's too hard to trust it any more, well, just buy stuff from US or other countries.

That would be hard. Almost everything is made in China. It's much cheaper to make stuff there. Clothing, plates, cups, art, even some groceries are grown there. So, I would say that I haven't gone shopping somewhere without buying something made in China.

I'm not very confident about the stuff thats made in China either but its kinda hard to boycott since their products are everhere, from little things to food to electronics.
All the stuff that you own such as Nikes, cotton Tshirts, slippers and junk like that are likely to be made in china. If they were manufactured in the U.S you would probably have to pay a rediculous amount for a small item.
Recently, I just read that some of their street corner Steamed Buns are mixed with 60% softened cardboard to make a hefty profit.
When it comes to food, I only trust stuff thats made in nature!

I am on day five. When I see something is Made in China, it goes right back on the shelf/rack. I managed to convert several friends (I got them to read the book A Year Without Made in China: One Family's True Life Adventure in the Global Economy, by Sara Bongiorni).

I applaud your efforts, but I hope that you have done your studies and realize that we may never know the origin of some products.
What is interesting is that China just executed the former head for China's food safety. He was charged with many offenses, including accepting bribes. USA Today did an article on the difficulty of determining what is made in America and what is not.

Mrs,
I'm with ya, Sistah. Nothing that has a "Made in China" label has graced my home since you inspired me by your question. BUT---and this is a big "but"---
What about food products? My husband pointed out to me today that food labels are not required to have a nation of origin on them (although I occasionally purchase fish cat food that says "product of Thailand" on it.) How do we know?!
And shouldn't our government be required to inform us WHERE the stuff we're putting into our bodies is from?
(There's a certain cataogue that I love ordering clothing from; I will now order over the phone, rather than online, and demand to know where it's made before I purchase.)

GO YOU!!! You are cutting back carbon emissions and pollution while buying USA products that benefit the economy. I wish everyone had your mindset. I think I could go maybe 4 weeks *Yes* because of my anti-consumerism mindset.

I think someone needs to open a store with nothing but things made in America.
I would shop there even if it was more expensive.
I just don't know if there would be much selection...
