My brother is getting divorced & wanted me to post this question. First off he told his lawyer he didn't want anything out of the divorce, no division of anything, he justs wants it to be over. Well the lawyer sent him all the paperwork to sign & after reading over it he noticed one part that said the he prays to obtain equal division of all properties. He called the lawyer before he signed it & she stated it was a formality and his soon to be ex-wife would get the real copy. To him this didn't make sense. Would it be correct to say that he should be signing the same paperwork his wife gets? Also what is a formality? Thanks.

We USED oil assets to help fund the war, but that is not the primary reason we are there:

-Bush stated Iraq, Iran, North Korea as "Axis of Evil"

- US must strike first against another state to prevent POTENTIAL threats from growing into an ACTUAL one.

-Challenges UN to ENFORCE its own Resolutions (1441, look it up)

- 11 undeclared empty chemical warhead found in Iraq proving it NEVER disarmed weapons

-Iraq ordered to destroy its Al Samound 2 missliels by deadline

-Bush warns Hussein to leave country or face an attack (and you know the rest)

Can, someone PLEASE explain to me why people think that we are in Iraq soley for oil? Iraq is in the middle east, a region known for its civil unrest and endless violence. With the Iraq takeover, this ensures that there would be some sort of stability in that area.

please note, I do not agree with the war but we ALL need to understand the reasons.

Our borders have been wide open since 9/11. The terrorists are suicidal, so fear of dying in the attempt to get into the U.S., with or without weapons, dirty bombs, nukes, etc., would not be a factor.

I received a speeding ticket and the officer wrote down the wrong date completely (day/month AND YEAR!). I plead not guilty because I was not present in the county on that date, in that year the ticket states. I understand officers can make minor mistakes on tickets, but it was June 2007 and he wrote it for 2006. I now have a court date set for next month. What sort of argument or style should I use with a Mississippi Judge to argue this? Any tips will help!

I'm curious what people on Yahoo Answers tend to think about firearms. So here are a few questions:

1. What are your views on gun ownership? (hunting, in-home self defense, concealed carry, etc.)
2. What do you think of the current gun laws? Do you know what the guns laws are in your state/country?
3. What is your level of knowledge & experience with firearms?
4. What is your age & gender?
5. Where do you live (what country)?

Tomorrow , the national security team (Homeland etc) will have an 'urgent' meeting regarding their concerns that a Terrorist Attack may be coming soon . They say they don't have concrete proof that something is imminent , however when putting all the pieces of the puzzle together(which is what we want them to do and what they get paid to do) they are very concerned that something is afoot . Chertoff hinted as much when he said he has a 'gut feeling' that something is gonna happen . Well Chertoff may have a 'gut feeling' but he gets his gut from all the information presented to him . Brian Ross of ABC News has said that he's privy to more info , but has been asked to keep it to himself in the interest of national security.. . in other words , don't broadcast it quite yet cause we don't want the terrorists to know what we know .

Eat organic foods or shop at local farmer's markets?
If you do any of the above, why?

Once complete, the new road will allow containers from the Far East to enter the United States through the Mexican port of Lazaro Cardenas, bypassing the Longshoreman’s Union in the process. The Mexican trucks, without the involvement of the Teamsters Union, will drive on what will be the nation’s most modern highway straight into the heart of America. The Mexican trucks will cross border in FAST lanes, checked only electronically by the new “SENTRI” system. The first customs stop will be a Mexican customs office in Kansas City, their new Smart Port complex, a facility being built for Mexico at a cost of $3 million to the U.S. taxpayers in Kansas City.

To Liberals - How does that make you 'feel' ?

I worked for a very strange company, their security code was 666, they have not paid me, they say I took the building key and want £250 from me for changing the locks, I say that is not true and want my wages. We have been to court twice already, 1st time was a preliminery hearing, they knew it was prelim, we didn't. 2nd time they did not turn up, the judge was aggressive to me for no reason and said my letter from a witness should have WITNESS STATEMENT at the top, therefore it was invalid. So he set another date. I then receive a letter saying the opposition has been reinstated "ex-parte".
They told me when I was working for them that they Freemason connections and NEVER loose a court case. The judges certainly seem biased, plus the opposition being re-instated, plus the judges being aggresive towards me, and making funny signs and smiling to them. WHAT ON EARTH DO I DO?

This is a defense used to acquit woman who murdered their abusive husbands when their husbands are not armed. However if a man is threatened at gunpoint by his neighbor and shoots his neighbor who is unarmed he is going to prison for first degree murder. So why is it that this defense is only used for women and not men in other circumstances where they feel their life is in danger?

I predict that we will see new legislation in the coming years. There may be several bills that will fail before they come up with something that works. Also, I think you will see new technologies used to screen for illegal immigrants, as well as to keep them from crossing the border. There may be very large fences built in the coming years, but then there will also be virtual and electronic walls between the USA and Mexico. It will be monitored through means that are not available to us right now. But future innovations will make the fence impossible to get by without being detected.

At this moment there are legistlators that are trying to pass laws that would require police officers to inquire about suspects (and perhaps other citizen's) immigration status. They want to make other professionals, such as medical service providers, do the same thing.

Some of these things are a bit scarry, and there will certainly be no end to the contraversy.

What do you think?

We are taking a short holiday to Canada in a couple of weeks(we live in Ohio). I have a 12 year old step son. We get him regularly. I know we need our birth certificates to leave ( I know passports next year), but do we need anything notorized from his mother letting us take him across the boarder. I know we don't need her permission to leave the state, we just have to provide her the information on where we will be and a way to reach us, but do we need her permission to leave the country? She went to Canada a few years ago and didn't get my husband's OK, but she does have primary custody. I wasn't sure if that mattered or not.
Thanks

Now i really want to become a police officer, my grandfather was a police officer, alot of my family is military, and I think joining the police force would be good. Whats the age to join? Can you be 18? Do you need to go to college? Then apply? I mean I can do that if needed. Do i need to get a degree in Criminal Justice? What exactly does that do with becoming a police officer? Where would I need to go? I'd like to be a patrol officer. Driving around, patrolling.

So whats the age? is 18 good? What should I do that would best benefit me into becoming a police officer? What degrees? or anything

BEIJING, July 10 — China executed its former top food and drug regulator on Tuesday for taking bribes to approve untested medicine, as the Beijing leadership scrambled to show that it was serious about improving the safety of Chinese products.
.....
But Mr. Zheng’s case appears to have served a political purpose, allowing senior leaders to show that they have begun confronting the country’s poor product-safety record. Shoddy or dangerous goods, including drugs, pet food and car tires, have damaged its reputation abroad, especially in the United States.
