It is so obvious. Why not nominate a ticket that can win in November? Why not put forth a Cheney/ Gonzales ticket. They are tough but fair. If congress does not let them have their way they could put them all in Guantanamo bay for a little R&R and perhaps some good natured water boarding. Isn't this the right combination for America? Tough minded but fair in their own inimitable just way.

I am amazed as the number of people here who are and remain so passionate about things that are said about the president by others. Cursing, arguing, attacking!

It's just a forum for godssake! We're not writing a thesis or authoring new legislation!

At most, maybe 150 - 200 people come to this forum on any given day? There are about 300 million people in the United States.
Don't you think it is time to
Relax!

Mr. President,

I am a Sophmore at UCSD majoring in finance. My father tells me that the tax cuts you signed into law have it it possible for my tuition to be completely paid for with taking out any loans. Thank you for letting my dad keep more of his hard earned income. As he always says "I can spend my money better than the government can".

Also, thank you for brining Honor & Dignity back to the WHite House after the last president was impeached then disbarred.

Thank you for keeping us safe after 9/11. The terrorists have hit Spain, London, Bali & others but can't strike here thanks to your steadfast resolve.

Sam Alito & John Roberts!!! The days of judicial activism are gone.

Because of your tax cuts for working people like my dad, the economy did NOT slip into a ressession after 9/11 & Katrina.

Democrats Nagin & Blanco sured screwed the pooch on that one.

God Speed Mr. President.

I keep looking on Fox News for convincing news that the war in Iraq is going well, or even getting better. All the cons say the liberal media will not cover the positives in Iraq. I'm not seeing any conservative media doing it either. I'm not including the news personalities such as Rush or Hannity. I'm talking about hard news, video footage of the positive changes we are supposedly making. Is there any?

Even though I am ashamed to admit it I have not bothered voting in the past two general elections. The reason why is that I live in an area where even in the landslide election of 1997 the Conservative MP was re-elected with a huge majority.

In other words I think that my vote is just a complete waste of time as the tories will always win in my constituency.

However, if proportional representation was introduced within the UK electoral system then I would vote in general elections as my vote would actually make a difference.

Would you agree with me that the introduction of proportional representation within the UK would actually increase the number of people who bother to vote for the reasons I have highlighted above?

After reading some comments by people on here saying they would not want their children to receive education in a foreign language, I have come to the conclusion our society is not divided by wealth, but by how they view the world.

On one side, there are people like myself who are open to innovation and believe things can be better. We are willing to adapt and realize "America" and the world will always change. We want our children to receive an education not just in our culture and its norms, but to have a good understanding of others. We are generally well educated and more nuanced when compared to the other "America."

The other side is driven by a fear of change. They believe nothing benefital can be learned from other societies. They fear anything that might be foreign. They oppose innovation because they might have to adapt. They are generally less educated and fear progress will hurt them.

Isn't this the fundamental division today in American society?

If not, he sure does act like it.

I'm not just talking about commuting Libby's sentence, which in effect rewarded Libby for not speaking out against Republicans who outed CIA agent Valeria Plane for political advantage. I'm talking about the hundreds of laws, Bush has chosen to ignore.
-------
WASHINGTON -- President Bush has quietly claimed the authority to disobey more than 750 laws enacted since he took office, asserting that he has the power to set aside any statute passed by Congress when it conflicts with his interpretation of the Constitution.

Far more than any predecessor, Bush has been aggressive about declaring his right to ignore vast swaths of laws -- many of which he says infringe on power he believes the Constitution assigns to him alone as the head of the executive branch or the commander in chief of the military.

These weapons and arms are used to take down the elected governments of those countries.

Do you think that is okay? Should the US intervene?

If you are okay or do not think that the US should intervene would it be okay as well for some of us Americans to arm up with what Iran is selling? You can order online with a credit card here,

1. Turned the largest US surplus into the largest deficit in American history, then gives tax cuts when he should be raising taxes to get more money for the country. (And of course, he only gives tax cuts to all of his rich buddies.)

2. Blamed bin Laden for 9/11 (which is okay), but when he couldn't find him, made Americans forget about him by diverting their attention to Saddam Hussein, who had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11. Has he found bin Laden? Has he found any WMDs? Didn't think so.

3. Feels the need to stick his nose in Iraq's business and "improve" their government while bombing and completely destroying Iraq-it's obvious it's just an excuse to go to war.

4. Lies about there being NO terrorist attacks since 9/11, when there have been quite a few that he covers up or makes America forget about. (Like that anthrax threat a few years ago for example.) Al qaeda takes years to regroup - bush has done nothing to make America more safe!
