I keep looking on Fox News for convincing news that the war in Iraq is going well, or even getting better. All the cons say the liberal media will not cover the positives in Iraq. I'm not seeing any conservative media doing it either. I'm not including the news personalities such as Rush or Hannity. I'm talking about hard news, video footage of the positive changes we are supposedly making. Is there any?

As usual, the media is doing a generally fair job of reporting news. While the media is sometimes influenced by group think and laziness, there is no liberal bias in the reporting. Whatever their political beliefs, journalists, by and large, are professionals who care about their work product far more than their personal political beliefs.

I have seen positive stories of what our troops are doing such as building schools in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Problem is building new schools in useless when the teachers are afraid of being executed for being the wrong sect.

Iraq and Afghanistan need security which up to this point we do not have enough troops to provide in order to rebuild.

What "video"? where have you been. There is no such thing as "embeds" anymore. We're lucky we get any news at all. So I go to Middle Eastern sites. They are as dependable as others. Some of them even support Bush.
But of course that is not the point.
Anyway as I was saying, few journalists, news media personnel in Iraq are allowed in certain areas. They depend mostly on the Iraqis themselves or another foreign news service....
and as far as Rush and Hannity are concerned, they do a lot of guessing. I no longer depend on them either.
and as long as there is massive killing, believe me, things are NOT going well.
God help us ALL.!

I guess if you concentrate on the 'war' part of the war, all is well. 'We' kill more of 'them' then they kill 'us'. So far, so good. But what does that mean? Not much because 'they' kill more of their fellow Iraqis then we do...and isn't stopping that the current prize? No matter how many 'insurgences' we kill or capture, no matter how many #2 guys we kill or capture, no matter how many schools we build or cell phone towers we build, death and destruction rules the day. Even on the 'building' end of the equation we can't really brag as more infastructure gets destroyed or deteriorates beyond usefulness than is built. The short answer to your question is that all is not well in George Bush's Never-Never land. We've already lost because there was never anything to win and most folks know it.....ask all the dead and maimed and displaced how well it's going....give it a think!

Are we really not getting the real Iraq story because of the Bush Regime?

Their isn't anything positive in Iraq all negative. I heard a reporter they want us to report a new School opening with dead bodies right behind us and Suicide Bombings 1 bock down. They report what they see , Hell Here On Earth.

there is no progress. all they do is complain and try to scare us about what MAY happen if we wake up and decide not to just keep our troops in the middle of the civil war there. they want us all to forget that all the bad things they complain MAY happen already ARE happening.

it's just that some people (Bush and Cheney and their whole admin) can NEVER admit they made a mistake or even worse some people LIE and then never admit it even after they get caught lying. we have a bunch of people who lie and mess up and never admit it in power now.

first of all Fox is not news, i make this point weekly, on days when there is no casualty count in Iraq, the propaganda media chooses to run old footage of prior casualties or old footage of mangled hummvees...WHY..because it keeps dividing us even more.....UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE ARE FALLING

We aren't seeing any good news out of Iraq because there ISN'T any good news out of Iraq.

The "liberal media" crap is just that - crap. Doesn't exist.
