Lou Dobbs is anti-immigration, pro business, and strongly against the congressional lobbists. For those that know about where he stands on the issue, would you support him running for President?

Pre 9-11, terrorists and criminals used to be able to go to certain states and buy firearms with no background check. All they had to do was find an unlicensed dealer at a gun show. Is this still true?

What are 3 issues that you feel would influence your vote of a politician of any office...not just President!
Please leave issue's like the Iraq War out because these have been debated since the war began and neither side has come up with answers. Republicans don't want a time table and Democrats want a time table but won't come up with solutions.

The older generation believes that socialism=communism=bad=soviet russia=our enemies.

Now why can't they understand that they are just beliefs that some have and they necessarily aren't the devil.

Yes, in a socialist society there is no religion, but a democratic socialist country can have one.

So why is it that when that flag is raised immeadiately there is "liberal pinko" this and the reds reproduce in swarms like insects?

A lot of the United States is socialized (Postal Service, schools, fire departments, police force). Why can't we continue that logic and use socialized health care as well?

Wow, I do realize that i was all over the radar there and i'm sorry for that, but conservatives (conservatives, not republicans, meaning people who want to maintain the status quo, so don't start a left/right debate there) always maintain the notion that socialism is bad!

They had the statistics on TV the other day, and low income people just don't vote. I mean if there was a law stating that incomes lower than lets say $25k cannot vote, there would be such an outcry ! Especially now a days when there are more and more low income families around. (and growing)

I'm going through a break up with a cop right now and he is threatening to have a restraining order on me and to call CPS on me and my 4 year old son.
This all stems from me buying him a truck (he has bad credit) him not paying the insurance and me requesting the truck be returned to me.
He dropped the truck off in a Target parking lot in the middle of the night...completely stripped.
He has NO grounds for the restraining order or the call to CPS..they would come to my house, laugh and then leave...he is wasting is time and resources.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience because I am worried that his status as a police officer would sway a judge or CPS in his favour and even though I did nothing to warrant his vindictive behaviour.

This is to debunk a recent white supremecist question/answer that said when minorities attack whites based on race, they don't get convicted of hate crimes.

In fact, they do!

2005 Hate Crime Statistics

AN INDIVIDUAL EXAMPLE
The alleged hate crime attack on a Lewis and Clark High School student came after his attacker said, "I want to beat up one of these white boys," according to the affidavit of probable cause filed by Spokane police.

Tyson Leroy Brown, 21, of Spokane was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of malicious harassment, a Class C felony hate crime. Brown also had an unrelated warrant from Oregon, according to a Spokane police news release.

Brown is accused of walking up to the student and knocking him unconscious with a punch to the head, then kicking the student as he was on the ground. The attack occurred Wednesday during a lunch break across the street from Lewis and Clark.

My Mother and I came to the US Legally in 2001.
My Mother was a teacher of english in Brasil but I had not learnt english yet. (I do now). When my mother married an American we had to wait 2 years to become legal residents because we over-stayed our Visas. My stepdad understood what was happening and petitioned for us to stay. My mother and I are very happy with our life here. I plan on going to college as I will graduate from high school this year. If it wasnt for my stepdad, I would not have had this oppurtunity as Brasil is very poor. I owe my stepdad everything as does my mother. My question is why do those who come to America illegally expect to be granted everything when people like my mom and others like her have had to wait and wait and be told we had to wait some more?

Im being targetted in my highschool's gang crackdown and will have to appear infront of the school board. I was 3rd in command and a former member of the nell'Emilia Family, 1 of 5 families in school. This stuff is serious cuz Ill be 18 in October, and extortion and drugs are real crimes. Chad is going to cooperate wit the school. He has a grudge against me cuz I extorted him and he tried to stand up freshman year and fight me so I beat him up. His mother also tried to press assault charges on me in '04 for his facial injuries and blood. And then theres this other kid whose claiming that I sent Junior Black Hand to extort him for weed. Yes, Junior Black Hand did shake him for free weed everytime they saw him, but I had nothing to do with that. A friend I wont name did that. I dont need to extort a cheap nickel and dime pusher when I could get 50% more off 1 crack rock than off a gram of his garbage weed. How credible a case would the school have based off these people? The 2nd guy is a drug dealing rat. Either way Im f-cked by my rep alone cuz Ive been expelled twice before for unrelated things.
