Top world scientists have come out in support of "man made" global warming. Their proof? Because they said so. Actually it has more to do with monitory grants than it does real science. Many of these guys don't want to see the gravy train come to a stop. And why would they? This is their JOBS we're talking about here. The last thing they want is for government funding to go away.
And why the insults? Dumb Midwest, middle-aged housewives filled with contempt and hate? Your question was fine until you showed your true colors. Why are they dumb? Because they have a different opinion than you? I suggest you put your political beliefs away and look at the question of global warming from a human perspective and then draw a conclusion. Don't rely on what you're being told from Hollywood, do some concrete research for yourself and see what you come up with. Leave the name-calling and personal attacks for the morons in Washington.

There are scientists on both side of the man made global warming issue. No one denies that the planet is in a warming phase. These scientists you refer to are the same ones that said we were entering a cooling phase and a possible new ice age in the 1970's. Quite frankly, I would rather listen to a midwestern housewife than Al Gore, who owns a company selling the carbon credits he is pushing. He is a snake oil salesman and hypocrit.

I'm from the Midwest (not a housewife though) and hardly dumb. I scored a 29 on the ACT, that was in the top 2% of the nation. Just recently I got membership in MENSA (that's for people with IQs in the top 2% of the population). I wouldn't believe either group without sufficient, reproducable proof.
We still don't have any for or against Global Warming.

What do you know about midwest housewives? Aren't you making some kind of generalization?
As far as your question is concerned, ridiculous. You all think that Live Earth is going to save the planet from the evil doings of people in cars and factories?

A kind word for middle aged housewives please.
Mid western and otherwise.
Most of the Believers of Rush are male, white, and angry at losing their long held prerogatives.
Sure there are some women among them, but not as many as there are men, and sometime I get the feeling the women are spouting that garbage because they know their men like to hear the little woman support them.
An amazing preponderance of scientists believe in global warming, even the President does. It really doesn't matter whether you believe we cause it or make a natural occurrence worse....its not a political statement, its a simple fact of life, measured by a simple thermometer.

No.
All the major scientific organizations doing climate, geologic, and meteorological research have said man made global warming is true.
That's doesn't stop the right from coming up with conspiracy theories:
1) All these scientists are socialists and hate capitalism. They can't be trusted.
2) All these scientists are capitalists and are just going after the global warming money. They can't be trusted.

People will listen to Science when theories can be proven and repeated using the scientific method. There is no single leading scientist in the world, by the way.

Why believe scientists? Why not believe idiots like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck instead? Just because people are experts who have studied a problem for years is no reason to pay attention to them. Go ahead, let the place end up like Venus. There might be life in other parts of the universe, maybe they don't have stupid people who listen to fools like Limbaugh or Beck and life will continue there.

Perhaps we should have a recorded vote worldwide...all the people who believe the deniers, should be documented and kept...if the predictions are true, and nothing is done because of these people have convinced too many, then they and the people should be the first to be euthenized when there is no room left....Good plan???

Did you know that the CO2 is not pollution, but life was started by the oil companies and that is the idea that so many cons have latched onto. I really hope that the oil companies give them kick backs at the pump.
