I'm going to a concert tonight and the stadium says no cameras blah blah blah...but is it hard to sneak one in? And what do they do if they see it?

By the way I'm talking about the concert tonight at Toyota Park in Bridgeview. I've never been there so I don't know how security is

I just want to take pictures of me and my friends, not really the band since I'll be too far away

I went to see INXS in Cleveland last summer and the security there actually looked in backpacks, purses, etc. as we were going in and confiscated any cameras, so unless the security is more lax there, you might not be able to sneak one.

In my city nearly impossible. They check your purse or bag... so don't even bother bringing one. Then they do a pat down. They either throw everything away or tell you to go put it in your car. But here is the catch they will let you have your phone usually. So if you have a camera phone you can usually get away with that. So that is usually the only avenue you have for a camera. Otherwise a friend of mine invested in a key chain camera. It is tiny and is on their keys. So no one even notices it they just see keys and pay no mind to the key chains. I think even toys r us sell them. They are only one mega pixel though but that is Better than none.

Put the camera in the bottom of your purse. People sneak cameras in all the time. It would be best if you took a disposable thouogh. If they see you with if the may take it from you, but if you take pics during the concert, they can't see you.

Most event staff do cursory checks of bags for "contraband". If the camera is small enough you may get away with it. If a security person inside sees the camera, they may confiscate it and remove the film, (or delete pics if digital) and throw you out.

I am not familiar with this venue either, so my response is general.

If they say not to bring cameras, then don't bring a camera. Believe me, unless you have front row seats, the pictures won't be any good, and if you DO have front row seats, security will see you and probably confiscate the camera for good.

You should bring a camera. After all, rules and laws are for other people, not for you. Just because a venue says no cameras and they check for cameras, that doesn't mean you can't bring one, does it? It's a stupid rule and stupid rules never apply to people like you.
Really smart and cool of you to let anyone from security know exactly where you're going!

Yes it is they wont let you bring your phone in if it has a camera. If they see the flash they find out where it is coming from and then escort you out.

If they see you they can throw you out and be legally justified, and you wouldn't get a refund on the tickets.

I suggest you follow the law.
If you are caught the camera will be confiscated.
