WE already are paying the taxes. US lawmakers don't give a rat turd how much we pay. They're getting their raises.

Dude, I'm an expert college student with limited disposable cash. Mexico is loaded with wall-to-wall weed, easy drunk local chix and cheap drinks.
I ask WHY NOT go to Mexico?

It is my understanding of Zoe's post that prompts me to believe that:

To the extent that you're serious about this idea, I can think of objections to it: If we allow everyone who wants to come here, why don't we take over their countries of origin and make them safer and better places to live. Then, we can move to their countries.

i do no longer think of that we could desire to continuously permit each and every physique in... i think of that we could desire to continuously reform our regulations to permit greater human beings are available LEGALLY. most of the individuals who pick again into us of a could lots choose to do it legally, and those people who meet particular standards concerning wellbeing, their ability to paintings, etc could desire to be allowed again in. Doing so will a great deal decrease the style of people who are available illegally, making it greater durable for the individuals we actually do no longer pick again in from 'sneaking by ability of' with something of the individuals who purely intend to make a residing. i think of that we could desire to continuously have a greater powerful fence gadget to maintain border crossers and drug runners out... yet this is barely one piece of the puzzle.

You really think so??? Because we are not just victims here. Americans and Europeans often blame competition from low-wage Third World countries, or the influx of immigrants from those countries. In fact, it is more directly the new round of economic colonialism that is the culprit, as it sets into motion the kinds of changes that cause the immigration and ... have dire effects on the poorest countries themselves - countries whose economics have fallen under the control of foreign corporations (American) and whose resources are raided and shipped north to the wealthiest industrial nations (America and Europe). The new trade rules leave Third World countries with little ability to resist or protect themselves, or seek alternative economic strategies. So, the result, mass immigration to First World countries. Lets not call ourselves victims, because we are somewhat responsible for this problem...

your premise is fallacious.

it's a question of proximity and having the richest and greatest country in the world next to a poor country where people have trouble surviving!!!!!
