Probably not. As gullible as Americans are, we're not quite that gullible. At least I hope not...

None of those things are gonna happen.

1) Any politician who would promise to lower gas prices to less than $2 a gallon is lying, and anyone who would believe them is an idiot.

2) Iraq cant be talked about in terms of "win" or "lose". The situation is much more complicated than that and cannot be summed up in easy black-and-white terms. And any politician who tries to make it that simple is insulting everyones intelligence.

3) If any of them do promise to secure the borders, I'll bet you my entire salary for this year that it wont happen, thats how certain I am of it.

Campaign promises are empty by definition. Looking at the politicians record is the only way of knowing where they (or, more to the point, their "sponsors") really stand.

Hopefully by now America has seen that a politicians will say whatever it takes to get elected.

Look at their record. How have they voted in the past? Have they represented you values always or just since they began running for president?

I do think that our next elected president, Republican or Democrat will not secure our borders. We will never see $2 a gallon gasoline again, unless you move to the middle east. The first real question in my mind is do you want the status quo position on Iraq, or do you want a president who will remove our brave soldiers out of harms way beginning the day after the election? The second is do you want the next Supreme Court Justice to be nominated by a Democrat or Republica?

Voters have a tremendous opportunity to change the direction of our country. I hope they pay attention.

The President has nothing to do with the market forces that dictate the price of gasoline/oil. The other 2 are good ideas though.

Well just a little aside, if he promises fuel under 2$ then steer clear because you don't need another liar in the White House....to answer the question, of curse he would.

It won't happen. No one with a brain would promise to lower gasoline prices. No one with a brain would believe it if a politician said it.
The other two are winners with me.

None of that, except for Iraq, is going to happen.
