This is to debunk a recent white supremecist question/answer that said when minorities attack whites based on race, they don't get convicted of hate crimes.

In fact, they do!

AN INDIVIDUAL EXAMPLE
The alleged hate crime attack on a Lewis and Clark High School student came after his attacker said, "I want to beat up one of these white boys," according to the affidavit of probable cause filed by Spokane police.

Tyson Leroy Brown, 21, of Spokane was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of malicious harassment, a Class C felony hate crime. Brown also had an unrelated warrant from Oregon, according to a Spokane police news release.

Brown is accused of walking up to the student and knocking him unconscious with a punch to the head, then kicking the student as he was on the ground. The attack occurred Wednesday during a lunch break across the street from Lewis and Clark.

Yes, I've always known this. That is the reason why I don't understand why every one is screaming racist law! But you have to understand this world is filled with ignorant people (and by using the word ignorant, I mean it by the dictionary definition of one who is not educated or aware. Not to mean stupid for the sake of name calling). It is up to people with the knowledge and proof of whatever the law may be to educate the ones who do not understand or are afraid to do research on their own. Just sitting back and complaining about something with no base does not solve anything. Instead it fans the flames and turns into a big mess.
Thanks for letting me vent.

The things that person says makes me think he is trying to give 'white people' a racist image. I do not believe he is actually who he says he is. The simple fact that nobody locks the doors on people when they are operating a store. And also, who says 'I am very proud of my actions' ? Gimme a break. It is so easy to disguise yourself as someone else on here and try to create havoc for them. Really nice that you all feed into it too. Brilliant.
BTW all your chart shows is how much more often white people are charged with hate crimes vs any other ethnic minority. Very misleading statistic.

Sure. In the late-1980's there was a latino gang in New Jersey that called themselves "Dot-Busters." They used to run around attacking Indians, Hindues, and people who just looked like them. Hate is not a "white emotion."

We do not even need to differentiate between crimes based on "hate." Violent crime IS hate crime.

The only importance for motive comes down to sentencing. And mitigating factors can be considered. "Hate crime" legislation is a waste of money.

We minorities aren't saints and some of us do stupid crimes. The argument isn't about that, is about why focused on a crime solely because the person is of a certain color. All crimes are done because of hate, why should some be more important than the other?
