Im very worried because I read that in the Navy the height for women is 60 inches to 78 but my height is 59 inches but I want to know if is very stricted the height? and if there is something that can help me to grow one inch? I have 20 years and I really want to be on the Navy as a nurse. thanks everyone. I was very happy because I really want to enter in there but when I read the physical requirements I became frustrated .

Just go to the recruter and try out, hey why not. The worst thing they can say is no, but at least you try.

Now, there are more important things about the recrutment that you should worry about. Doing 50 pushups, running a mile in 6min, sustaining a 10k run etc. There is a very physical challenge coming up for you!

But, you can do it. I know a girl that was about 5' and she made it, and now i get emails from her in Japan and China, Singapore, helping people in the East.

And she loves it.

GO FOR IT!!!

Your recruiter is the best person to ask, but I suspect for a nurse they'd arrange a height waiver - assuming it were an issue to start with.

See a recruiter. They can also share with you the best way to get into that field. What education would help, etc.

Thanks for wanting to serve your country. America needs more people like you.

I think you can get exceptions for being slightly shorter, as long as your other qualities are something they want. Being too tall could be a problem because of the crampiness of Naval ships.

Just call or go see your local recruiter and see what they say about it.

waivers are possible.

BUT Nurses are commissioned officers. do you already have the 4 year degree/BSN from an accredited college or university? because at a minimum you need that. LPN won't cut it.

secondly, something tells me English is not your native language. are you a US Citizen? because if you aren't, you cannot be an Officer.
