If you can back up your statements that you didn't owe the money then contact your legislators who will open a case file and contact the liason. Keep constant contact with the person handling the issue and wait for the results. Talk to as many tax lawyers you can with evidence in hand and I am sure someone would love to take a case where the IRS took money it wasn't entitled too and it can be proven- that would be a dream case.

Sorry 2 hear wat u been thru dude.
That guy who studied Law must have been kicked out of his college for bein the worse student ever. Of course u can sue IRS they are a part of Gov but that doesn't absolve of any wrongdoin and sheer unjust practices, which they have done in this case. Injustice is injusctice and it shud be fought no matter where it's being thrown from.

I would suggest that u shud have a look at various no win no fee lawyers. Present em ur case n choose whichever u find is the best.
Best of Luck. Hope u win!!

It's far more efficient to start a petition to Congress and have it legislated out by law, with the money you would spend trying to fight them. Most Americans, in this political climate would help you raise the funds to do that!

you can try. just remember that the irs has unlimited financial resources with which to defend themselves. what are your resources to carry out this lawsuit?
unless you can prove some sort of discrimination or gross negligence on the part of the irs i'd say you're fighting an uphill, ultimately unwinnable battle.

I can tell by your writing you are not too bright. You should seek the advice of a tax lawyer. It might be a good idea to take a reading and writing course as well.

Sure and while you're at it you might as well ask them for the law that says you have to pay income tax. But you got to do serious research first:

Find a lawyer who will represent you and tell us what he wants for a retainer. Then decide for yourself.
