Isn't it silly, unrealistic, stupid, moronic, ignorant, and/or delusional to think the war in Iraq has slowed terrorism?

Are we fighting them over there, so the UK doesn't have to fight them at home? Aren't we fighting them over there so we don't have to break up terror plots in NJ?

The biggest lie of this war isn't WMD's. It's that fighting this war somehow had made ANYONE on the planet safer.

What about the rights of a non smoker to enjoy clean air in pubs and enclosed spaces! Let's face it, I can stand next to a drinking alcholic without my health being affected at all, but if I stand next to someone who is chain smoking I am forced to breath in their harmful smoke!

The ban is not aimed at taking enjoyment away from smokers, it's aimed at protecting the lives of the people who have to breath in their smoke.

and please......Don't say that non smokers have the right to stay out of pubs. They have a right to go out and enjoy ourselves too!!!

Well, now in the UK smokers have a right to stay at home and smoke themselves to death. They don't have to go out and fill our public places with smoke anymore! I can't wait for July 1st!!

and the Democratic/African American relationship? Both parties pander to the voting block to get elected and then completely ignore the base that won them the election when they are in office. Any thoughts . . . Thanks in advance.

I feel he is an American hero and has paid the price for his wrongdoing. He got caught up in the Washington lobbying deals and commited what hundreds have done, without serving a day! His service to our country should count for something!!

In a hypothetical situation where an amendment to ban gay marriage reached a final senate vote needing only a majority, the vote is 50-50 requiring the VP to cast the tie breaking vote. Knowing that his political career is probably going to be pretty much over after his term as VP (at least as an elected official), does he vote against it, thus allowing his openly gay daughter to have the chance at marriage? Or does he continue to push the ultra-conservative ideals of the administration and vote for it?

at fault here?

Law and Ethics

The man rents a van 3 times throughout a week. The first time he used it, the air-conditioning really was not working. When he returned he told them. Picks it up a few days later, it works fine, then uses it one more time, and it is still fine.

When he went to drop it off and have it inspected, the worker turned the key in the ignition to see if gas tank was filled up. The van was not actually started up, so the man says to the worker, see that, the air-conditoning is not working (as just air was blowing out since the vehicle was not actually running).

He then DEMANDED a refund for driving around with it the whole time "broken".

Who is at fault here? The man for tricking the worker, or the worker for being dumb enough not to realize the vehicle was not even turned on?

We have seen what they said would be a new openess in govt by their backroom deals trying to sneak a bill through before the american people knew about it. Not even reading a bill before they vote on it. Lets face it these people are out to destroy the american culture so shouldnt we voice our opinions on every bill not just the immigration bill. I think talk radio has started something here that could snowball. The american voters and taxpayers could again run this country and denounce these damn traitors.
