Will he insist on stricter border or employer enforcement? Or will he just say the system is broken?

The question we all need to be asking is are they (current immigration laws) enforceable? The bottom line is we need and deserve a policy that not only is based in reality but at the end of the day - works.

Well, the various law enforcement agencies would have more money and manpower to enforce current immigration laws if the War on Drugs would end.

Unfortunately, Bush could ultimately decide that since he is on his way out he will just leave the system broken for the next poor schmuck to occupy the White House.

It would cost too much money to deport the millions of illegal immigrants back to all the countries from which they have come. It would also cause business disruptions. Those are reasons why Bush was supporting a comprehensive immigration bill.

Border and port security are important and need to be enforced but we also need to account for the people who are already here.

his job is to interpret..it is the Gov't's job to enforce..

think he runs around collecting back taxes?..that's the IRS's job

America's education system is failing in their charge too..obviously..yesterday we had someone that didn't know the Senate is a part of Congress..
