The current action in Iraq is a follow up to the first Gulf War, which Saddam started by invading Kuwait. The current one was started by Saddam again, by violating the agreements of the cease fire for the first one, Firing on our planes in the no fly zone, and ignoring 17 UN resolutions, and failing to comply after several warnings for Bush.

George Herbert Walker Bush fought Iraq as the defender of Kuwait...Iraq had invaded Kuwait and this was a response.
George Walker Bush attacked Iraq for several reasons, all proven to be wrong.
No WMD.
Not the source of 9/11/01.
Not to free the Iraqi, that is a mandate of the UN.

side note/question: who said that the Iraqi wanted to live in a democracy?

The first time, Iraq when they invaded Kuwait. The second time, it's a toss-up. We stepped in because of Hussein's violations and of their harboring al-Qeada and Taliban members. And no, it was not BUSH who started the war. One man does not have that power in this country. It's not a communist dictatorship.

And to the person who stated that Blair presented false information. I may be ignorant here, but are you a special agent or something? Do you personally know more than the entire American and British governments? Because if you do, you might want to let someone know your knowledge of subject. I'm going to guess that you're not, and you don't, so don't assume it's false because you "read about it" or you "heard it was crap".

George Bush.

The US invaded after ordering the weapons inspectors to leave even though they hadn't finished their job and after he and Tony Blair presented incorrect and falsified intelligence to their repesctive governments.

Amazing to think that the two posters are so dumb as to think that Muslims or Saddam started the war.

Let's face it, Saddam had already lost once - why would he think he could win a second time round.

George Bush

By cherry-picking obviously bad intelligence to use as justification to invade.

By knowlingly and falsely claiming that Saddam was involved in the 9/11 plot to get US citizens to support the invasion.

we did, its no big secret, america, we needed to secure some oil rights in the future, we figured that if we help iraq become a democratic country then they will owe us big time, and then we will make them pay us back by giving us oil, one small problem with that, we have to win, and this is why we wont pull out until all our soldiers are dead or until we win.
