A person who is asexual has no sexual desire nor are they sexually attracted to anyone, male or female.

I am asexual myself, and I have seriously considered enlisting in the military. Originally I thought I had nothing keeping me from doing so (the 'don't ask, don't tell' policy only applies to homosexuals and bisexuals, and I am neither), however, I realized something else.

Many people consider a lack of a sex drive to be a sexual or psychological dysfunction. I see my lack of attraction as a sexual orientation rather than a problem, but I know most people don't have this view.

I'm otherwise perfectly eligible to join the military: I am very healthy and fit physically, mentally and emotionally. During the physical and/or psyche exams, will my asexuality be an issue? Also, will it be acceptable to openly acknowledge the fact that I have no interest in sex?

My bestfriend got a letter from a collection agency that he owed $8000 due to a lawsuit regarding illegal downloading! They attached the court order and he did not even know those songs on the list! He cannot afford a lawyer to fight this and now since they are in collections, the judgement has already been issued. Is there a law out there to help him remedy this situation?? Or any other similar instances that happed to other people??? I think this is ridiculous for the Recording Ind of America to do this. Now my friend is depressed over this! HELP!

I am conducting a poll to see if the Yahoo community is more republican or democratic.
And include if you are conservative, liberal, moderate or whatever if you wish.
Thanks!

I was involved with a woman when I was 16, and she ended up having my first child. The mother and I used to get along well, and she wanted me to spend everyday with my daughter. However, once I got a new girlfriend (who is now my fiancee), she stopped wanting me to see my daughter. It's because she thought that we might have been able to get back together, and I hurt her when she found out that wasn't possible, so now she's trying to hurt me back by keeping me from my daughter.

There was a time when I was still able to see my daughter a couple times a week. However, I could tell there was some jealousy and hard feelings between us because our daughter preferred my girlfriend and I instead of the mother and her boyfriend. Then a few weeks ago, the mother said, "I don't think you're going to be seeing her anymore," picked up my daughter, and walked away. Is that legal, to just not let a father see his daughter anymore? I love her with all my heart, and I'm devastated without her.

Illegal aliens are killing more Americans than the Iraq war, says a new report from Family Security Matters that estimates some 2,158 murders are committed every year by illegal aliens in the U.S. The group says that number is more than 15 percent of all the murders reported by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the U.S.

Weren't they destroyed for rejecting "strangers"?
I agree there should be sensible immigration policy but calling illegal aliens "criminals" don't do justice. What is the exact classification of illegal border crossing? If you did Hollywood stop at a stop sign, are you a criminal?

In the UK a liberal is someone who believes in the free market, with a minimum of state intervention. The word "liberal" comes from a Latin word meaning "free". Can someone explain to me why so many people in the US have a thing about "liberals"? Do they dislike freedom? Are the people who dislike liberals socialists or something?

Great news. Tony Blair has been chosen as the middle east peace envoy. As prime minister he bought hell to the lives of the civilians there - children losing parents, parent losing children. The middle east since 1997 has been ripped apart and the world is not the same as it used to be. The world is a scary place - but luckily for him - he'll have guards and body guards.
In May 1997, he played things can only get better. What song should he play now that he is starting his new role?

Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania? Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

This is complicated but I thought I would ask to see if anyone has any words of advice or paths to follow for my family. My great Aunt was recently diagnosed with cancer and has spent the last couple months in the hospital. My Aunt, who you can't even explain in words, goes to the hospital with a lawyer so my great Aunt will sign the power of attourney over to her and also all of the things in her house. Prior to that, the power of attourney belonged to my great aunt's sister, and everything was to be split between all my Great Aunt's neices and nephews. This isn't an issue of those neices and nephews (one being my dad) getting money and belongings, it's an issue that my aunt would stoop that low, and is now pushing my GreatAunt to death by saying, your not going to make it much longer and there's nothing more to look forward to. My dad is thinking about hiring a lawyer because of the state my great aunt was in when she signed over the power of attourney. Does he have any chance?
