He would torture nobody, and there is no way that he would ever condone what is going on in Guantanamo, or any of those other places. He would most likely weep for those who have suffered at our government's hands!
I am not a Christian, but I have seen far more hypocrisy, fear mongering, and self-righteousness, than real love...in the Christian faith! *sm*

No, of course not. Jesus would be appalled at what's happening - especially when it's done in his name.
As for reconcilliation, I don't think that those perpetrating these offenses on humanity give any thought to how Jesus would view their actions. They believe they are on the side of right (as do their victims), and that the ends justify the means.
After all, in their mind, the prisoners at Gitmo are terrorists who would be killing innocent American citizens if they were released. Therefore whatever is done to keep them locked up is saving lives, and thus admirable.

No, he would not condone the torture at gitmo. Seeing how he treated romans at the time, (he raised a daughter of a centurion back to life. Does that sound like a man who is angry at rome? no. ).he'd be appalled at the treatment.
And as for christian beliefs, god does recognise that under certain conditions, it is nesecary to take life to preserve a larger amount of life. God was probably in favor of throwing the taliban out of power. But definetly not in favor of us torturing the inmates.

Torturing Cheneyrovebush will be Satan's task.
If Jesus were walking around today, he'd be thrown in Gitmo! He opposed Roman occupation of Palestine, so he'd undoubtedly oppose the moneychangers' occupation of Iraq.

No, He would not condone torture of any kind, He is too kind, loving and forgiving to do that. He would rather take on the pain of torture for us and all that He asks in return is for all of us to walk in his footsteps.

Today Jesus would get into a drum circle and wear "Bong Hits for Jesus" t-shirt while ohmming some Tibetan chant. He was a peacemaker, not a warrior. He'd still have the long hair too. Hippy.

Jesus would probably torture himself before subjecting anyone to that kind of treatment.
