The article today of him talking about freedom and democracy made it sound like he'll do anything to force democracy down the throats of the rest of the world.

When did we become such an arrogant country that our form of government must be practiced by all nations on the globe?!

Why does this administration want to fix everything on the planet EXCEPT AMERICA!?!?

You don't force your form of government on other countries. That's what Hitler did. That's what Mussolini did. That's what Joseph Stalin did.

I can't wait til Dems take over the White House next year. Maybe we'll stop sticking our noses in everyone else's business and actually take steps to improve our own country.

What a crazy concept, huh?

Don't misunderstand, I'm not racist. The times of slavery were horrible but hasn't there been enough? No one still living in the USA has ever been a slave or slaveholder.

I am a 24 year old white male. If myself and a black man of the same qualifications apply for a job or a college, he will get it so the company/college can point to him and say "See? We're an equal opportunity employer."

I never owned a slave, or mistreated one. Slavery is far enough behind us now that the current generations only read about it in history books. Yet we (white men) still get penalties like this. So this translates into the racism being reversed now in *favor* of the black man. Why should these guys get an edge over me like that? He personally didn't have to endure slavery. I don't see him as a certain color. I just see him as a guy who gets more favors then me because his great-grandparents had a tragic life. At some point you're just causing more hatred.

"According to a new New York Times/CBS News poll, only 16% of Americans think the government is telling the truth about 9/11:
"Do you think members of the Bush Administration are telling the truth, are mostly telling the truth but hiding something, or are they mostly lying?
Telling the truth 16%
Hiding something 53%
Mostly lying 28%
Not sure 3%"
The 16% are probably a waste of energy: if they still believe the official story, then they are unlikely to change their minds based on facts. (If you have the patience to never give up, then more power to you).

I know this is determined by States but the Fed said any state that did not set at 21 would get $0 in Fed funds..so they bullied the States to do it.

Now I know the obvious reason is that people need to be mature to drink responsibly....but since the majority of drunk drivers are 21+ years old what makes 21 better than 18?

18 gives you right to vote, be drafted, sign up for armed services, marry, go to maximum security prison, be executed, buy+smoke cigerettes....but not drink...isn't that odd?
Now if they reduced the age yes there would be an increase in drinking deaths but only in short term. But pro or anti reasons aside here is my question:

My question is why 21? What makes 21 better than 18? Why not 25? Why not 42? What is supposed to have happened in the 3 years that makes you able to drink legally now?

The 28% who say "mostly lying" are probably already 9/11 truthers. They may, however, simply believe that the government LET 9/11 happen on purpose, without understanding that 9/11 could not have succeeded unless elements within the government had actively ASSISTED in the attacks. So you might want to discuss some of the facts regarding the war games and the Mineta testimony, for example.

As a conservative I do to as long as they do not conform to unbecoming conduct or be a distraction to the men women in there units, HOWEVER if you are straight and married you can be thrown out of the military or disciplined for
Adultery, if this is the case and we allow homosexuals to marry, do you think they will have to adhere to laws in the Military on Adultery, when Adultery has always and only

On January 5, Amy wrote a letter to Benny offering to sell her van for $160,000. Amy stated in the letter that Benny had to reply by January 15 or she might sell to someone else. On receiving the letter in Jan 8, Benny immediately sent a letter to Amy asking whether she would accept payment by installment over six months. Benny received no reply from Amy and then posted another letter to Amy accepting her offer on Jan 14. As Amy thought that Benny did not accept her offer, she sold her van to Cat on January 16. Amy finally received Benny’s letter of acceptance on January 17. Advise Amy.
Pls answer in paragraph or by point form in details. Thanks!

Yesterday my neighbor came to my house with his phone and told me I had a call. It turned out to be a debt collector looking for my mother-in-law (who has never lived with us but gave out our address and number instead of hers.) The collector said that since no one answered the phone at our house, (I didn't get the phone in time) they were calling the neighbors to try to get ahold of her.

Now, I'm furious with my mil for dragging us into this. And if I knew where she lived, believe me, I wouldn't have hesitated to give that debt collector her address and number. (My husband and I have had to deal with our own debt collectors when she used his SSN and ran up credit cards to the tune of $15K.)

But as I got to thinking about it a little more, is it legal or even ethical for debt collectors to harass a person's neighbors while trying to find them? Seems kind of shady to me, but then again, lots of shady things seem to be legal these days.

Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) is an improvement on the objectives of Affirmative Action. In short it forces companies to get equity black partners so as to equalise the economic playing field. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_economic_empowerment
I know it is a South African addition to the American imported AA policy but there seems no reason why America should not re-import the policy.

Why doesn't the U.S. government pick up all these invaders and put them to work at the border building a wall with no wage until they have worked enough hours to pay for the $5000 fine that they are supposed to pay for crossing the border illegally? Then they can be put back in their own country that they think is so wonderful! Adios!

Just think, 12 million workers that won't cost the government anything to prevent further invasion attempts!
