Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) is an improvement on the objectives of Affirmative Action. In short it forces companies to get equity black partners so as to equalise the economic playing field. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_economic_empowerment
I know it is a South African addition to the American imported AA policy but there seems no reason why America should not re-import the policy.

Thank you all for your answers. As you may have guessed it was a loaded question. I was just curious what people outside of South Africa would think of the policy were it to be implemented on them. I have no objections to Obama and his aspirations to become president.
Once again than you very much for your answers.

The pressures upon a President Obama would be far too great for him to actively sponsor or support ANY Afro-centric policies, not to mention programs. A first-term under Obama would likely leave many blacks scratching their heads as the new President bent-over backwards to insure that his administration was viewed within a context of fairness and color-blindness.

There will never be racial equality in America until blacks quite calling themselves African Americans and start calling themselves simply Americans. Black people put up a wall around them. They want everything their way all the time. Try working for it. White people have to work for what they have too. I went to college and got a job. Now I'm climbing the economic ladder. Try it some time. I wasn't handed anything.

What about the Asians? What about the Hispanics/Latinos? What about the Eastern Europeans? What about those from the Middle East? Will they get their own programs to "equalize the economic playing field" for them?

Seriously, why apply it to only Blacks? The Japanese Americans were put into internment camps during WWII, surely that impacted their economic development. The Hispanics and Latinos have had such hurdles to cross with regard to gaining citizenship - surely that impacts their economic development...the same can be said for just about any group. Why single out only one for benefits??

That is such a load of crap. That would be so disgustingly against the ideals this country was founded on. We aren't about socialism, nor are we about handouts for the weak. If blacks want to succeed, then SUCCEED! We owe you NOTHING! If you had stayed in Africa, you'd have been slaves anyway, and today you'd be starving and suffering from intestinal worms. Is that better than getting welfare checks and getting fat off Twinkies and candy? I think not. Black people need to get their **** together and join the ******* fold already. The Italians did it, the Irish did it, Asians keep doing it, what excuse have they? Disgusting. Such weakness should not be rewarded. Survival of the fittest.

"Artificial government-imposed pseudo-equality and discriminatory racial preferences only aggravate racial tensions in America."

That is so true. Why do black people hate themselves so much?

Obama will in no way exchange into president, so the question is moot. He refuses to place his quit his coronary heart whilst the nationwide Anthem is performed and he refuses to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. he's in his very own stupid worldwide, very resembling George Bush, and the final concern Amerixca desires is extra of that nonsense. Obama in no way had to run besides. The Democratic party device dragged him out of the closet because of the fact it mandatory some inknown face to interchange each and all of the drained, wiped out, has-beens and liars they have used for years. Barack Obama identifies himself as a Christian, no longer a Muslim. Any President who tried to enhance non secular goals in workplace could be in violation of the form and concern to impeachment.

Artificial government-imposed pseudo-equality and discriminatory racial preferences only aggravate racial tensions in America.

Until such programs end, a lot of white folks are going to think that blacks can only succeed when given a handout by the government.

Restore AA, plus BEE?

You have got to be kidding. Does the phrase "adding insult to injury" mean anything to you?

If you wanna trash the country like that, don't drag it out. Just go Mugabe on everything and get it over with.

Blacks make up 12% of our population. I don't think they would care to be put on that equal of a basis.

No. But I think he should campaign on the promise that he will implement it if elected.
