Why didn't the experts (and I don't mean Rosie O.) and people who know physics, construction, etc. say anything AT THE TIME rather than years later?

In a major national disaster such as 911 the president can declare war and all the houses will back him. They can do that overnight.
In the case of two terms ending at the height of a war; which canidate would you vote to replace Bush?
Hillary, McCain, Obama, etc.
All of them put together do not come close to equaling Bush, and I am not necessarily a Bush supporter.
As far as my knowledge of the constitution. I sugest that some of you quit reading and start observing what is actually happening vs. what you imagine is happening.

Also how can you find out enough about a lawyer to know if you want him/her to handle the case -- eg. experience in that kind of case, percent of cases won, list of cases you can look up to see how competent, etc.
I want to avoid wasting time and money interviewing lawyers who are not appropriate or not interested in the case.

Hi, I'm an immigrant and I'm trying to put together a book to help other immigrants to create a successful life for theirself in the United States. I want to help people to avoid the mistakes I made when I first moved here. I'm looking for intelligents tips, such as where to get cheap medical cares, good websites, where to get free English classes, which banks are the most friendly toward immigrants, which organizations work to help immigrants to integrate the US in a better way and so on...
Wether you are an immigrant yourself or not, thanks a lot for all your tips in advance!

This is the only problem I encounter on here from time to time .
The mere fact that someone takes the effort to complain shows a lack of any maturity and low level of education and self esteem .

I Guess if you go trolling for them then from time to time being out spoken and controversial will capture the attention of these lower life forms .
Once enraged the only recourse they have is to get you booted or deleted .

I hope the person or persons working feverishly are enjoying themselves as much as I am LOL .

My family owns several rental properties and some of them are vacant. We often find that people have broken into them and vandalized the property or have been sleeping in them. At one of the properties there are motion detecting flood lights in the front of the house and someone has taken or broken the bulbs out of them a couple of times. I have put up no trespassing/private property signs. I have also told the police to keep an eye on the property too, it has been a while maybe a year or so since i talked to the police so i think that they have slacked up a little on checking the property out. I am tired of people taking advantage, and i am ready to put a stop to it.

Does anyone know if it is a civil rights violation for a doctor to deny an adult woman sterilization (tubes tied) in the US based on age, marital status, etc? If so, where can I find information on the related laws on the internet?
(if laws vary state to state, I'm asking from TX)

I keep seeing people say our economy in the US is booming, tell me where? They say unemployment is down, but that is counted by the new claims filed, what about the people that have been on it a while? Wouldn't it be more accurate to measure it by how many people on unemployment actually found decent paying jobs equal to their skills, training and aptitude? Prices are rising everywhere you look, but is your pay rising to make up for the difference. My conclusion is that the economy is good for big business.

The American stock exchange is the most stable and secure in the world (for the time being). Every weekday, hundreds of billions are exchanged without any sort of tax on the transactions. We pay sales and use tax when we buy other capital assets (then subject to capital gains or losses upon sale) but Wall Street is treated as a sacred cow. A transaction tax would serve to further stablize the markets since no one would be inclined to invest in short-term strategies. I believe a transaction tax needs to be studied and considered as a way of allowing our income tax code to be made much simpler than it is today. The so-called Flat Tax and Fair Tax (National sales tax) would only shift most of the tax burden to the poor. I mean do you really want to pay 10 or 20 percent of profit to the government when you sell your home?
