The closest I can think of was Wilson in 1916. The world was at war but we weren't. His slogan was "He kept us out of war".

Richard Nixon won while the Vietnam Conflict was raging. He brought the country out of War.

Welll, in '68 both candidates wanted to end the Vietnam conflict, and one of them won, and did just that. Neither were considered strongly anti-war, though.

Both Eisenhower and Nixon pledged to end the wars that were going on while they were campaigning for the presidency, Ike with his "I will go to Korea" and Tricky Dick with his "Peace with honor". We haven't had an election during a war since 1968.

I believe that was Richard Nixon. He was somewhat anti-war and got us out of Vietnam (albeit pretty slowly).
