They should separate gays from straights in the military. If a man is not aloud to have relations with a woman while on duty or working there shift, either should gays. Just keep them separate. I say no to gay marriage and just because i think its gross hehe no other reason. But i don't hate anybody

Whichever way it goes, I'm of the opinion that this is a decision that should be made entirely by the military for it is their lives that are on the line.
On the surface, it seems terribly unfair to single out any group and exclude them but we're not talking about a country club or a neighborhood, a school or place of business, a restaurant or a hotel, this is the military's judgment to make.
The policy of "don't ask, don't tell" was implemented as a compromise measure" but let's not kid ourselves, it was hardly welcomed within the military hierarchy. They had it forced down their throats by someone that they were not especially fond of and grudgingly had to accept it.
While I personally have no difficulty with their service in the military and did know of several when in the military myself, I'm also mindful of how many of the other guys felt about it and whether they were right or wrong, we cannot afford to have these kinds of distractions.
I'm not standing up for or against the reasons why the military is against gays in service.........openly.....but feel that their decision must override my own, it;'s them that fights the wars, not me, not our politicians.

When gays raise their right hand, they swear not only to defend the Constitution, but to obey the laws of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. UCMJ prohibits gays from serving openly in the military.
If gays have no intention of following the UCMJ they swore an oath to follow, why would they join in the first place?
In units, people do break the laws of the UCMJ. When they do it affects the morale of the unit and brings it down when they see no action is being taken to punish or apprehend the person in question. Let us not allow gays in the military. It opens a very bad can of worms, and people will take matters into their own hands.

Yes. The same rules about adultery and sexual harassment would and should apply to both gay and straight relationships, or relationships desired by one person but not by the other.
I'm happy to hear from a conservative who thinks gays should have equal rights and responsibilities.

Is it not the assumption that the laws, rules, and regulations that govern ANY segment of our society would be enforced even-handedly? Therefore it must be assumed that said tenets would have to be uniform, gay or straight.

They should be allowed to openly serve. The adultery law wouldn't apply to them since they are not recognized as married. If they allowed gay marriage then yes if a gay person cheats on their spouse then they should be thrown out. To me sexual preference should not disqualify you from military service.

Cheating is cheating. Regardless of if it's between 2 men or a man and a woman. I think they will have to abide by the rules just like everyone else.

Sexual preference is about chemistry not about choice.
Homosexuals in the military should be held to the same level of accountability as heterosexual, no less no more

Democrats will tell you antything , do anything. They are, even when they deny it, liberals. Liberals live in an imaginary world with reality meaning nothing.

When you have lesbians fighting over each other in your living room and are okay with it then you can have an opinion. I've seen it with my own eyes and its not pretty. I don't need to be subjected to those kind of living conditions in my home.
